I tell you this Ghost Buster movie is good especially a female version. Its a must watch.

It is a good as previous Ghostbusters movies. I could watch this movie over and over again.

This was a really fun movie and I really enjoy watching it. It's not a bad family movie either, though I recommend parents watch it first to make your own judgement there. It's fun and a good popcorn movie. Having grown up in the 80's, I am a big fan of the originals. I thought this film did a good job to pay homage to the originals. If it didn't, the main original cast would not have all done cameos. It has decent humor, fun action, and an overall good plot. Look, I'm not saying it's the greatest movie ever. There are certainly parts that could have been improved. The 4 ladies as the Ghostbusters all are very talented and funny, but I feel there was a bit more potential they didn't quite reach. I'd totally watch and buy any sequel, if we were ever fortunate enough to get it. Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones were the real break-out stars to me in the movie. I'm definitely going to watch their careers going forward. The steelbook was pretty cool and the artwork was really fun. The extras on the disc were great too. The extended edition was worth it.

Very funny movie. Appropriate for any age. Loved the cameos by the original busters.

I am a huge fan of the original Ghostbusters and I think it was a great idea to do a new one. The visuals in this movie were terrific and the actors were even better. I was expecting to like this movie, but I also didn't have too high of expectations. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it, it was very funny and entertaining. I would highly recommend for everyone to give it a try. Kate McKinnon was my fav, I don't really know her from many movies but she was amazing in this one!

When I heard there would be a new Ghostbusters movie coming out in 2016, I was very excited. I was even more excited when I heard that several original cast members would be making cameos, and that comedy all-stars like Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy had signed on. It really was shaping up to be a great sequel, but then news came that the new Ghosbusters would be a reboot. Fair enough, but I still had hope it would be a continuation of the original narrative with a passing of the torch from the old cast to the new. Sadly, this was not the case, as the history of the original Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 was thrown out the window. Instead, the filmmakers decided to start the story over again using the same name and even logo, but with a different (yet all-too-familiar) plot. The main and supporting cast members are all excellent in the movie and the jokes are well-written, but the whole thing feels like a miss because it's too similar to the original without being as good. As if that weren't unforgivable as is, the Bluray edition uses a tacky 3-D effect that makes certain special effects appear to spill outside the normal movie screen into the black areas of your TV set, which takes you as the viewer out of the universe the filmmakers worked so hard to create. It's incredibly distracting and it upsets me deeply.

Saw the movie in the theaters and thought it was hillarious. Have not yet watched the BD and seen the extra footage so can not make a comment. I would say I think the whole idea of a girl team was interesting and funny, and as a reboot it did well, but I was hoping that they would have made a continuation of the previous movies and the new team are the daughters of all the other guys. That way they could have mentioned losing Egon(Harold Ramis who past away). Movie was still great, comedy moments were spot on however the actual ghost busting did not make as much sense.

I love the original Ghostbusters, and its sequel; one of my favorite movie franchises. So many out there set out to bash this remake before even seeing it, with the usual misogynistic rhetoric and cries of "This will ruin my childhood!" My childhood is still intact, thank you, and having actually watched this in theaters with an open mind, I found it worthy of a place on my shelves next to the blu-rays of its predecessors. It doesn't have the same feel, and the humor is not as subtle, but it's still very funny. There are cameos and nods to the original (keep an eye out for the bust of the late Harold Ramis). I would take a half star off for the extended version, simply because most of the added scenes aren't as funny, some actually drag the pace down a little, and for some inexplicable reason, they spliced in alternate scenes that changed a couple of the jokes (notably for the quirky Holtzmann character). That aside, it's a fun movie, if you're willing to give it a chance.

...but I think this movie isn't NEARLY as bad as any of the negative reviews make it out to be. I had little-to-no expectations going into this movie, and I was beyond pleasantly surprised. The cast did great with playing off each other and the effects were (obviously) far beyond anything accomplished in the original. I had a very enjoyable time watching this movie and laughed quite a bit. Go into it expecting a fun time and not some riveting, Oscar-worthy performances, and I think you'll be fairly pleased. SideNote: The Steelcase is sooo gorgeous!

People need to stop comparing this movie to the original cast version. This is a different universe where the ladies of comedy came up with the technology to battle ghosts. Although, unlike the original, they do seem to eradicate more ghosts than capture. It does drag on in a few parts and it is obvious Thor is on-hand for the ladies watching as eye candy. I also saw this movie in theaters and the jump scares were ruined by a banshee sitting behind me to my left screeching in my ear. From home the movie and its fourth wall breaking effects were rather enjoyed.

This review is more about the format of the movie rather than the movie itself. The UHD 4k BluRay experience is amazing. The colors, images and sound will make you question whether or not you really want to spend your money at the theater the next time a new blockbuster comes out. I watched this movie through my XBOX One S which has the 4k BluRay player in it. I will say that watching standard definition movies after stepping up to the 4k BluRay had been difficult. If you're not prepared to spend $30 per movie, you might want to wait to get a 4k player.

We loved this movie and the art work on this steel box addition is great!

Saw this movie in the theater just as I did the original Ghostbusters and loved it just as much. The cast is excellent and bring their own quirky take on their characters. The standouts in this film are Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth. If you enjoyed the original you will probably enjoy this one as well. It's silly and fun. Young kids might be a little scared in some of the spooky scenes but anyone 10 and up should be fine. Oh and keep an eye out for almost all of the original cast popping up in cameos, including during the credits.

Updated version of the Reginald with a female cast. What’s not to like?

Good fun movie. I would recommend for those who love laughs.

My whole family really enjoyed this movie. It's not quite like the original, aside from the obvious women playing the roles instead of men, it is funnier in my opinion in some ways. All the characters really mesh well and do a decent job selling the roles. My only complaint is that the original cast is in the movie, but not in anything but a supporting role. I would rather have seen them involved in the GhostBuster role more, but to see them in there is good. I would have given 5 stars if they would have had a more mainstream role.
