These girls are funny and while it doesn't hold a candle to the original "Ghostbusters," it's still funny and entertaining. The charisma of the actresses really keep this afloat and a fun-filled 3rd act. Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth shows great comedy chops. The A/V is good but some of the skin-tones and saturation of the video seems overcooked. The extras are a-plenty. For low-expectation fun and a bit of girl-power, this "Ghostbusters" works.

If you go into this movie thinking it is going to be a sucessor to the fame Ghostbusters series we all loved then you will walk away a not so happy person. If you look at this movie as a differenty entity then the previous incarnations, then it is a enjoyable experience. The only problem I had with this was that is tried to be a completely diferent movie but still tried to reference the previous movies without directly referencing them in character.

While this movie isn't quite the worthy follow up to the original Ghostbusters, I'd personally hoped for. I still found it wholly entertaining. The extended cut featured in this set addresses some of the more egregious issues I had with the film that wouldn't have required major script changes or tonal changes. The special features included are decent, and I hope more studios jump on including the 3D versions in their 4K combo packs.

I think most people just need to watch the movie and make their own opinions about it after seeing, instead of basing it on biased views on remakes or reboots of classic film properties or getting irritated, because it has an all female cast. I found the film to be a funny film that doesn't hold a candle to the original, but it has some great special effects and more laughs than the original. It's a better reboot than most these days.

Cannot for the life of me figure out why so many people felt so much animosity towards this film. It's so entertaining and Kate McKinnon is officially my new girl crush, although they are all insanely funny. This movie pays homage to the original films in such an amazing way, without overstepping any bounds, and is still original and creative all by itself. Most of the original actors make cameos, which should show how much everyone approved. If you're interested at all, just pick it up and watch it with an open mind. The ladies are incredible, Chris Hemsworth is ridiculous in a great way, it's nostalgic without overcompensating, and entirely hilarious. My husband loved it as well, and we have watched it multiple times.

What a great and fun movie this is. Trust me! This is a very underappreciated movie, it took me months to finally watch this. I was very skeptic at first, but now I am a fan, the production is great, and the story is excellent, a lot of reference to the original Ghostbusters movie, and the colors is amazing, I love how the special effects comes out of the widescreen bars. This is a must have for any Blu-ray collection!!!

Giving this product five stars because it's such an awesome bundle. It's super rare for a movie bundle to come out that includes pretty much every format except for a regular dvd copy. I understand 4K TV, and 4K players aren't in a lot of people's homes yet. Also 3D TV isn't very popular in a lot of homes either. But my TV is set up for both and it's great being able to have both options available. Kind of annoying when I have to choose which format to buy when I get other movies. This steel book edition also looks very cool with some nice artwork on the cover. I enjoyed the movie a lot more than I thought I would. I'll always love the originals, but I found this new Ghostbusters movie to be enjoyable.

I was skeptical, given the changes that were made to one my favorite childhood movies/franchises growing up. I didn't listen to the "fans" or critics and was still hyped to see Ghostbusters in theaters again. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed this movie. My girlfriend, who, although, isn't a huge fan of the originals, really liked this one and wanted to see it again. I decided to buy this and add to my collection and we've watched it a handful of times already. It may not be the Ghostbusters you remember growing up, but it's still an entertaining movie. Give it a chance. You might like it. The quality is excellent on this Blu-Ray...hoping the 3D is as good as it was in theaters.

This movie is not terrible. It's not the greatest either. It has more action scenes than the original, but the CGI is not the greatest. The extended edition has multiple music scenes and for some reason, pieces of the movie come of the wide screen version, which I really did not like because it took me out of the moment. I'd recommend the theatrical version instead. The steelbook case is very nice.

I have always been a fan of the original Ghostbusters. The first movie in 1984 is a classic. I was a little nervous about this one because everybody was trashing this movie before it even came out. I decided to check it out and it is nowhere near as bad as the reputation it has gotten. The movie is pretty funny especially Kate McKinnon and Kristen Wiig whose performances from SNL I've always enjoyed. I would recommend seeing this one and not pay attention to reviewers or critics. The steelbook are for Ghostbusters (2016) follows the same art style as the previous two Ghostbusters steelbooks from Best Buy. I enjoyed the previous steelbooks and this one is no exception.

There's a lot of hate surrounding this all female cast Ghostbusters reboot/remake. But I have to say I found the movie funny and enjoyed the jokes quite a bit, the special effects were pretty good too. and this is coming from a fan of both the original movie and the Real Ghostbusters cartoon. If you're not too skeptical and just want to have some good laughts I believe you would enjoy this movie. Thought the cameo of the old cast as complete different characters felt a little silly and strange and a missed opportunity. Also the steelbook case looks pretty great. I didn't get the steelbook for the first movie to match this though. The drawing are in the same style.

I went to see this twice, once with children and another time with a group of adults. The first group absolutely loved it. The girl was so excited by the cast and it seemed perfectly natural that she could be a scientist/ghostbuster! So different than when I saw the original in 1984. Although I did love the original there were no women in roles other than love interest or secretary. The younger boy also loved it, he thought Kate McKinnon was his new idol! The second time was with a group of adults. We enjoyed it on a different level, loved the homages to the original cast and thought it was funny, well written and well acted. The credits are even a treat to watch!

I had reservations about this reboot of the classic film, but I was mildly surprised at the resulting film. While McCarthy's character is frequently annoying and one-note, the other actors do a fine job of providing laughs, and the story is different enough to be entertaining. The cameos from many original cast members were nice but not terribly distracting. All things considered, it's not bad.

Funny movie, this movie is very funny and if you can get in 4K you have an amazing picture quality.

On its own, it's a funny movie , not necessarily a "chick flick" because of its cast. Just do not try to compare it to the original. That would be a disservice to any of its genre. That being said, I did enjoy it and Kate steals all of her scenes as a hot female geek. The homages made to the original cast are well done and demand that you pay attention. Classical escapist entertainment

The 2016 Ghostbusters film did a great job of updating a classic film. It was funny and not at all crass. The lead Actresses did a great job of bein funny with out being over the top silly. Kate McKinnon in particular was a standout. The fun factor was on 10 the whole time and Chris Hemsworth did a great job of handling a role We're not used to seeing him in. All in all a good flick!

This movie got a ton of flack when it first came out. I honestly don't understand it. It's funny, smart, with likable characters. And, in all honesty, it's better than the original Ghostbusters in pretty much every way. I couldn't care less that the characters are female instead of male, as long as they have good character development and are relatable. Answer the Call has far better explained motivation as to why they are doing what they are doing. To sum up, I really like this movie. However, if you are a HARDCORE Ghostbusters 1 fan, you probably won't like this because it's not Ghostbusters 1. To each their own.

I skipped this in the theater. I wasn't expecting much. Some friends told me it was good. When the blu-ray came out I bought it and eventually watched it. It was wonderful, and hilarious. I loved it! I saw the original movie when it came out. This new retelling has a great group of actors and was great in its similarities to the original and in its uniqueness. Highly recommended.

I, and my entire family loved the reboot. We like Paul Feig, Melissa McCarthy etc...thought Spy was hilarious and really enjoyed the Ghostbusters reboot. For those that didn't, that's OK but I think many had decided not to like it before even seeing it. And I'm 47, saw the original in the theater as a child etc...In fact I saw Meatballs, Stripes, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters 1 & 2, Vacation, Spies Like Us etc... all in the theater as well, love, love, love Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Ivan Reitman & co....this is a good movie, just watch it without any preconceived notions and an open mind. It's funny and yes, women can be funny, it's totally OK
