I, and my entire family loved the reboot. We like Paul Feig, Melissa McCarthy etc...thought Spy was hilarious and really enjoyed the Ghostbusters reboot. For those that didn't, that's OK but I think many had decided not to like it before even seeing it. And I'm 47, saw the original in the theater as a child etc...In fact I saw Meatballs, Stripes, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters 1 & 2, Vacation, Spies Like Us etc... all in the theater as well, love, love, love Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Ivan Reitman & co....this is a good movie, just watch it without any preconceived notions and an open mind. It's funny and yes, women can be funny, it's totally OK

I watched this movie last week and upon watching it a second time, it actually isn't that bad of a movie. Are there lame, boring, unfunny parts? Yes. Honestly, I could have done without the really dumb humor with Chris Hemsworth's character (Is anyone really that dumb? Come on. Please don't insult my intelligence.) If you can withstand that, then it isn't that bad of a movie.

This film was both silly and entertaining. When compared to the original, it was both different and familiar. I appreciated the cameos and homage to the original film. The CGI and special effects were very good. Mindless escapism at its best. It was a change of pace and more palatable to watch a film featuring Melissa McCarthy sans the use of vulgar language and/or F-Bombs!

It was okay. Not as good as the original movie. There are certainly better movies.

Yes I'm old enough to have seen the first GBs. And while I can't say this movie is better, I can tell you it's a great movie on its own. I'm reviewing the 3D version here and can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised at how good the effects were. This 3D blue ray definitely belongs in your collection. As for the movie, plot, acting etc, it was good and satisfying enough for the genre. This is not some serious drama so if you let it be what it is, a light hearted fun/ridiculous adventure, you might just enjoy it as much as I did. Buy this movie it, if you can be brave enough to let your hair down a little.

This movie wasn't bad. I know a lot of people looked down on this movie saying it's not the same as the original. That is their fault. From just a movie stand point it wasn't bad and my kids loved it just as much as the original. I thought it was quite entertaining and the extra features were pretty good as well. Go in with an open mind and you might be surprised.

I am a fan of the original Ghostbusters but this all female cast was a nice re imagining. The extended version is better than the theatrical release and feels more complete and less "choppy" in the story telling. The cast works well together and the updated CGI gives a fresh look. Some of the jokes fell a little flat but all in all an enjoyable movie.

Since I am a diehard fan of the original movie I was hesitant to watch this one. I didn't go see it in the theaters because I thought it would ruin my opinion of the original. Boy did I mess up. This would have been a blast to watch on the big screen. Totally worth it and I like how they included everyone they could from the original film. RIP Harold and Rick.

I bought this movie because I am a fan of the originals, and wanted to see if the controversy was warranted about this reboot. The effects were good, but it seems like they used too much green screen, and not enough practical effects. It was also missing the 'feel' of the originals. On it's own, I think it is worth seeing, just forget about the original version.

I did not know if I would like this movie. I am a big fan of the originals and in fact the original Ghostbusters was the first film I ever saw, so I was hesitant to see the 2016 remake for fear of ruining the franchise. Surprisingly not bad. Could be a little better, but overall a good movie to enjoy. The digital copy is Ultraviolet, there is no iTunes version.

I had no desire to see Ghostbusters. It wasn't a sequel, it wasn't necessary, and worst of all, the trailer didn't look funny. But I was wrong. I laughed heartily throughout, and from what I read, the extended edition is THE edition to see, filling in some holes of the original release. This didn't need to exist, but it is a gem all its own. Give it a chance!

So, unlike the rest of the internet, I was really excited to see what the lady Ghostbusters could do! Ghostbusters 3 was mired in all kinds of problems that couldn't get it off the ground, so this was a great way to do a reboot and start the franchise off fresh. Unfortunately, even with a killer cast and a great director, I think the writing and budget was the downfall of this movie. It was too bloated and sadly, not nearly interesting or funny enough. That said, there is some great nostalgia here, and some genuinely great moments. The opening is actually pretty awesome and the effects do a great job of recreating the feel of the original's brand of paranormal chaos. So if you haven't seen the movie, definitely give it a watch, but I wouldn't suggest a purchase unless you're really a die-hard Ghostbuster fan. Specifically for this particular item, the metal case is pretty awesome. I love the art on these boxes and I would totally have gotten the set if I didn't already own the first two movies.

I don't have the money to see every movie that comes out, so I do read reviews, which were not glowing for this movie. I picked it up for $9.99, and now I kinda wished I had seen it in the theater. I genuinely laughed, and thought Hemsworth turn as the ditzy secretary a nice turn. I took a star because the cgi didn't seem up to snuff for a film like this.

We had heard a lot of people had kind of recommended that this was a movie you could miss however we are glad we watched it. The characters in the movie were all fun and played off one another. Lighten up people and just have fun when you watch sequels to successful movies. They don't have to be better than originals, just fun to watch and have a good time.

I really wasn't that interested in seeing this movie, but I was talked into it. Wasn't a big fan of the original and didn't think the all female Ghostbusters crew would work. As it turned out I really enjoyed the movie. It was a fun watch with the original cast members making cameo appearances. I would recommend it to those who enjoy movies that are fun.

The case for the new Ghostbusters movie is really cool and different. It is a perfect addition for anyone looking to add this to their movie collection. The movie is enjoyable and just a fun time. People get too invested in movies and review based on past material. This is a fun movie with some great moments. Don't overthink this and just enjoy the ride.

While the characters in this all-female version of Ghostbusters didn't seem to gel quickly enough in the beginning, or have the ease of interaction of the original cast, give it some time. It really seemed to come together in the last third of the movie and, with updated special effects, it was worth the ride - add the ever enjoyable Chris Hemsworth, especially his flash mob routine at the end, and the advanced weaponry of in the hands of Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), it's a great take - the only thing missing in terms of a character guest appearance was - what happened to Rick Moranis.

IF you saw the movie, then you know what it's about. Nice reboot of the originals, and they even worked in the original Ghostbusters cast, except for Harold Ramis (RIP). Disk quality is great, with terrific audio that makes my subwoofer shake the sofa. Do not yet have 4K player, so can't comment on the quality of that disk. The 3D disk is excellent.

Having been around long enough to have seen the original in theaters the reincarnation of this classic can stand on its own! Not quite the original but didn't try to be this is a fun movie for anyone who just want to sit down and take their mind off and be entertained. I can watch this movie over and over again in 4K and especially in 3-D.

I was very skeptical about this film when I first heard about it. I didn't see it in theaters. I wasn't sure if I would ever see it. Then a lot of my friends recommended it to me, saying that it was really funny and definitely worth watching. I bought it on release day and actually really enjoyed it. The cast are hilarious. Definitely worth a watch!
