First of all I love this movie. In my opinion this the one of the best comedies ever made if not the best. It holds up even today. The jokes are still funny. They didn't become dated or over used. I'm saying lines right along with the movie and I haven't watched it in 15 years. Best movie ever! I was so excited to hear it was coming out on Blu-ray. Finally one of the greats in Hi-Def. I bought it the day it came out along with the video game too. But I put it in the player and hated it. IT LOOKS HORRIBLE!!! The DVD looks better. It is not Hi-Def what so ever. Why does Sony, the inventor of the technology, put out such substandard products. I mean admit it or not PS3 sucks! I used to own one before I sold it I should know. The games suck and so do the graphics. The fact that it is a Blu ray player doesn't even save it because that is substandard too. Now this. They just took the DVD version and threw it on a Blu ray and charged twice as much for it. They didn't clean it up at all. They didn't do anything to it. I was very upset and let down. It's even the 25th anniversary and they did nothing to the movie. And before anyone says it's me not the disc, I have a Samsung stand alone Blu ray player and a Samsung HDTV hooked up with HDMI cables. The TV is 46", 60,000:1 contrast ratio and 120hz and it rules! Other Blu rays look awesome. So awesome it should be illegal but not this one. DO NOT BUY THIS. SAVE THE $10 AND BUY THE DVD. I never thought I would say that and I never write reviews but I love this movie so much I had to let everyone know. Best Buy is the best. I buy everything from them. The TV and Blu ray player came from them. But I wish I had not bought this Blu ray. BTW the video game is awesome. If you like the movie and play games you will love the game. That is one man's opinion. Listen to it or not.

I bought this item along with the Ghostbusters 2 steel book. I used the UV digital download for both films, and both gave me the second one.

ok movie but dont comment on the 4k content since its not even out yet!

First off, it is specifically made for 4k dvr and 4k tv. I found the 4k disc does not run in blu ray and blu ray version does not allow subtitles. The volume control only makes voices sound like they are in a cave. Not Good Buy!

Everyone mentioning the amazing picture quality of this disc seem to be reviewing the 4k version. I bought the Blu-ray and I have not seen a worse transfer since George Lucas slapped the theatrical versions of the Original Trilogy on a few bonus discs. The picture is way too grainy and suffers from the recent epidemic of blue/green tint remasters. I’ll probably replace this disc with a better transfer in the future, keep the case and throw the one this came with in the garbage. I gave this one star because if it weren’t for the case, I would have returned this to the store for a refund.

I love the movie Ghostbusters. My 1 star review is for the fact that the digital code included is for Ghosbusters 2. Looking at the reviews, this has happened to other people and yet Sony/Best Buy did nothing to fix it. It's a headache to go through the motions to have Sony correct this problem, but I had to do that to get the correct download.

The 4k copy of this movie is so grainy, it is nearly unwatchable. I couldn't bear it for more than five minutes. The streaming HD version had a better picture. The ATMOS sound was virtually nonexistence. The 4k disk was just a sham to take your money.
