My experience with Best Buy recently has not been good, I will only say one thing that is positive is the lady who rang me up was very nice and does a great job at customer service. Now, that being said I came in and wanted to pay cash for my pre order but was told that Best Buy prefers I do pre orders online. Later I found out it was online only but never knew until later. I received an email two weeks later saying geek squad saw I missed an item and they would add it free of charge. Well then 3 hours later my order was cancelled no explanation. So I started a conversation through text with a representative from Best Buy online. I was not at home at the moment and was told that I could reuse the gift card I used to purchase the deluxe edition again. I told the rep that after two weeks I wasn’t sure if I still had the old gift card. Well then he told me I could use it if I found it but that he would resend a new one just in case. So I found the old gift card and tried to use it but it said no funds. So I decided I would call to ask. I talked to another rep but he could not give me any new information but told me I would have to use another form of payment to rebuy the edition. I was not satisfied with that answer so I asked to speak to a supervisor. He then told me I’d have to wait an hour but they would call me back. I am still waiting on that call. Anyways, the next day I decided after work I would go up to the store to see if I could exchange the old gift card for one in the store so I could buy the item before it sold out. I was able to speak to an assistant manager but she told me that it wasn’t her problem but online problem and the reason I didn’t get a call back was because the issue was resolved. I’m sorry but if I’m in the store asking a question and trying to get help the problem is not resolved. So then she also told me that the item was sold out. So now I had no reason for a gift card because the whole reason I went with Best Buy was for the special offer, so I asked if I could have the cash back. She told me that no to cash but maybe on a different card. My issue is that poor customer service from both the store and online is unacceptable. I have got my money back in another card finally but this was completely Best Buy’s fault. I will NEVER use Best Buy again for anything. I also filled out another survey but as I predicted no response. I know I am just one person and why would Best Buy truly care what I have to say. I will say one thing I will be letting people know going forward to not do business with Best Buy as they are too large a company to care about their customers. If anyone has actually taken the time to read this thank you. But I know I will not hear back from Best Buy
