It has been 3 weeks since I bought it and it plays everything I have tried (a bunch of free games) at 80-100fps for more intense games (Halo Infinite, Warzone, Apex Legends) and does exceptionally well for smaller games (Super Animal Royale, Rocket League, Rumbleverse, Guild Wars 2) at 200fps+. It has run up to 93 degrees on the GPU on Warzone and Just Act Natural but the keys did not feel hot at all only the side air vents (which are not a bother at all). It has the HDMI, power, and ethernet plug in the back which is extremely convenient and clutter free. The battery by itself last about 2.5-3hrs no matter what you are doing but that is expected. Screen quality isn't the best but not bad at all esp with 4k videos. Also there does not seem to be any bottlenecking with the CPU usage being around 40%-50% and GPU being 70%-90%. Also note I played every game on the highest setting I could and all these numbers are the result of that. My only 2 complaints so far are that very rarely when booting up game for the first time after I turn it on it is extremely underperforming and I have to turn it off and back on to fix the problem (this might be entirely user error) And windows crashing quite frequently the first few days I owned it (which was probably just a windows thing) I bought it at $1,000 USD at best buy at $300 off but when I last checked it dropped down to even $900. I'd say it is well worth the money for a mid-range gaming laptop as it performs far more than needed on any game I have played and is built well for the price. I decided to sell my M1 Macbook Air for $800 in exchange for this to play PC games with my friends and I thought I was going to miss the mac interface and M1 processor but if anything I'm much happier with how this operates and its gaming capabilities. You even get a cool Gigabyte background photo :)

3060 GPU is the 105w version with only 6gb dedicated memory. Runs hot and fans get going with med high noise. Runs cooler just propped up and better with a fan under it. Boots up quick with OS on nvme. Upgraded with 32gb memory and another Nvme. 2 nvme slots, one take. And the other is available. Turned off all power settings to get max performance. One is in bios for screen dimming power saving. Screen default is 60hz but you could/should change to max 144 for better quality. Keyboard is a good size and brightness Negative: Touchpad, mouse click, and case feels like cheap plastic. Get around by using a mouse. They definitely saved cost here and put that on performance

Computer runs very well. Led keyboard settings allows up to 15 colors to choose from with no strobing just solid color. Battery life is pretty poor, maybe 3 hours with basic use and on battery not a lot of options to use it for. Keep it plugged in for best use. Graphics are awesome. Played borderlands 3 on medium and got around 110 fps. It will get hot because of CPU so change advanced power setting for processor power management to 80% for best cooling best method at least found. Overall love it. Also, it installed windows 11 immediately when loaded up.

I love this computer's features (webcam, numeric keypad, SD card reader) and performance (solid performance on every game I've tried), but the onboard Gigabyte driver software is broken. I've never been able to update it even from the manufacturer's website. There's also a significant issue with the keyboard, where it periodically (unrelated to Sticky Keys) thinks the Ctrl, Shift, or Windows keys are being held down, and the only consistent resolutions I've found are to sign out of Windows or to reboot the computer altogether.

Performance is good, lots of ports but has very bizarre issues and bad battery life. This is the computer I've used for uni and it has met my needs for content creation and gaming, but the keyboard is horrendous. It has an awful ghosting issue where, if you press keys for too long it decides you're holding the key and you have to press that repeating key to stop it. Also, the keyboard backlight blinks if it is not at full or low brightness. Battery is lucky to last 2.5 hours, be sure to always have a charger on you. I would have RMA'd the system but Gigabyte has such a poor track record and I couldn't go months without a computer as a uni student. I would not recommend Gigabyte for a laptop.

Got my laptop within a couple of days and instantly upgraded to 32GB ram 3200mhz and installed a 2TB drive and 500GB NVMe so now i got 3TB for whatever i need to do.. Also added a cooling fan under my laptop so my temps even when gaming dont even pass 75 degrees.. I do Music Production and a little gaming here and there but this thing is a beast when it comes to processing and multi tasking.. Only bad thing i have to say about this device is the battery life cause as soon as you unplug this thing drops fps on gaming after a hr or two and finger prints are visible after touching it.. Also i think this should came with Windows 10 instead and 11 as an option to upgrade due to compatibility issues not yet meant for all programs and software but besides that, performance is all there for this machine

Had this laptop for about a year now and it has done everything I need it to do beautifully. I use this laptop for both work and gaming. This laptop is a entry level game and can play most games pretty good, but don't expect to pushing past 1440p gaming with over 100 fps on max settings. I play pretty well on 1080p and medium sometimes high setting averaging around 60-100 fps depending on the game. As expected with a gaming laptop the battery runs out quick lasting only about an hour and a half or 2 so keep it plugged in. This laptop has lasted a while and hasn't done me wrong, It's still going strong.

My girlfriend has had this laptop for a little over two years now. It has broken on two occasions, the first time was the GPU fan and the second time was the SSD. Both were not incredibly expensive to replace, and easy enough to do. We are pretty sure that the main reason the GPU fan broke in the first place was due to being dirty and getting stuck, and then the SSD wore out quicker due to having been overheating in the past. So it was avoidable. Aside from the occasional breaks, the laptop is a beast as far as what games it can run. Baldur's Gate 3 no issues. Path of Exile no issues. RTX graphics look amazing. No issues there either.

Great computer and for an excellent value. I discovered Gigabyte with this computer and I could not be happier. Simple, easy, good quality build, good components, and easy to break apart to upgrade. Strongly recommended. Get an extra fan for cooling and use it only plugged to the wall.

When this is on sale it is a great deal for the specs - RTX 3060. Build quality is acceptable, performance for gaming has been as good as expected. Keyboard is pretty good. Trackpad is average. Audio quality from the built in speakers could be better. Battery life is not great but I was aware of that prior to purchasing. When the CPU or GPU is working hard the fans can get loud but that was also what I expected prior to purchasing.

For the price an extremely powerful laptop for gaming, video editing or photo editing. The on board Intel Graphics cannot be disabled so if you want the best performance be sure to set global graphics setting to Nvidia performance in the Nvidia control panel and in windows 11 graphic settings. Battery life not long with this kind of power recommend for users that will be plugged in the majority of time.

I love this gaming laptop. It plays EVERYTHING with no problems at high to ultra settings.. only problem is it doesn’t hold a charge so you have to have it plugged in constantly.. also you won’t be able to game without it being plugged in.

Very nice laptop for the price I got it for ($850). At that price point, all other laptops come equipped with a very powerful CPU and a 3050 class GPU, which bottlenecks the system in the benchmarks I looked at. Keep in mind that this isn't a true portable laptop, but instead strives to be a desktop replacement. Do not expect it to have the best battery life. Which is also another point since a similarly specced out barebones desktop is about $900. The +1 M.2 slot is PCIe 3.0 x4 confirmed by Gigabyte support, which means getting a 2.5" HDD and an Optane accelerator is the ideal course for an upgrade. If you want Vulkan support, update your Nvidia drivers. They are outdated out of the box and it turns on Vulkan support for everything. Keyboard is a little cramped though, could do without the keypad. OEM is Clevo BTW. Gigabyte does not make this.

I needed a new laptop and decided to try out the Gigabyte G5. Gigabyte has always been one of my favorite motherboard manufacturers, knowing their reputation to make good computer components, I figured that I could trust them to make a great laptop. This laptop does not disappoint. It's extremely fast and has kept up with everything that I've thrown at it. This model comes well equipped with everything that you need to ensure that you stay ahead for a few years. The screen has a high refresh rate of 144hz. The brightness level is very bright, I usually leave it at 70-80% during the daytime. I like the fact that it has multiple options to run external monitors, I have it running 2 monitors and it's doing a great job at that. The capability of this system with the RTX3060 is phenomenal when it comes to gaming. Nearly all modern games will run at 60 FPS or higher on the highest graphics setting available. Another good thing about this laptop is the ability to upgrade. It has 2 slots for RAM with a maximum capacity of 64GBs, it also has additional slots for storage expansion You'll have 1 M2 2280 & 1 2.5" HD slot available. For being a laptop it has plenty of USB slots, the latest WIFI 6 WLAN, Bluetooth, etc. I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase and this is one of the best gaming laptops out right now. It you can get it on sale, there's nothing out there that will beat it.

Great laptop overall. Battery life is not great but I plan on keeping it plugged in most of the time anyway. Screen is okay for the price. Plenty of ports - especially for external monitors (can connect a total of 3 external monitors) which is better than the competition. The build quality could be little better - one of the keys on the keyboard was sticky and doesn’t feel right but other than that I love it for the price.

Bang for your buck. Solid starting rig. I use for gaming only. VR works fine. Don't expect playable ray tracing out of it but it's not bad at all. Battery life is almost useless for gaming (which is expected) plug it in.

I got this because i always wanted a gaming laptop. I wasnt disappointed. It runs most things on high graphics and stays above 80fps. I dont like the touch pad so i recommend getting a mouse with it. Also if possible grab this while its on sale. Its a good buy at 1200 but a great buy at 900.
