Memory Corruption

Not sure what RAM they chose but I kept seeing constant OS corruption. Attempts to reset the PC. resulted in boot-looping.
Aside from this I saw excessive chassis flex from the over-use of plastic (especially at this price). Display lid does not sit flat with keyboard deck and hinges were quite loose.
Thermal performance was good but fan noise could be seen as excessive. Wildly inconsistent performance when bench-marking and general use. Saw swings of 50% either up or down in scores and FPS.
Pluses included solid screen, good large glass trackpad. Negatives are poor build quality and terrible software profile via Gimate. Would not recommend.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

After watching quite a few reviews of all laptops with the new 50 series gpus, i ended up getting this. I have a couple of gigabyte products i use in my main system and have no issues with, so it was a no brainer going for this.
Pros and Cons summed up:
-Build quality is above average and don't expect apple or razer level full metal quality here. It is good for what it does and its quite light actually, only the razer blade beats it on being lighter.
-OLED screen is very good. Gets very bright with hdr enabled. Don't really care about the glossy reflections since i don't take it outside.
-Temps have been great so far, CPU hits 90-95c on max gaming loads. GPU hits 70-78c on gpu and 90c on memory. 5080 was hitting the full 175-180w on hwinfo.
-Fans get quite loud on turbo mode. Performance mode is more bearable. Its a gaming laptop so cant really complain about fan noise.
-GMATE is serviceable at best, not a lot of options to tweak, i hope they add the option to tweak the gpu and fan speeds.
-Wish it had per key rbg but 3 zones is alright, its got a lot off rbg all around (front-back and lid) that screams gamer but i have the lid covered with a skin and rest turned off.
-The lid has a unique finish to it and looks great but scratches easy so had to put a skin on it.
-Both nvme slots are easily accessible and can be upgraded. The empty slot is the gen 5 drive btw and the filled slot is gen 4 only. There is a big copper plate which acts as the heatsink for the nvme drives with a thick 3mm thermal pad. I have a gen 5 drive in this (WD SN 8100) and runs pretty cool around 50-60c when gaming on both the nand chip and the controller.
-RAM is also easily accessible and upgradable to 6400-64gb but I'm sure this can do 128gb as well with a 2 stick kit. I just left it as is at 32gb.
-Overall I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend if people are looking into this option. Even better if you can get this on a sale or discounted price.
