Customers are saying

Customers praise the M34WQ monitor's large screen size and its integrated KVM switch, which significantly improves workflow. The high refresh rate is also frequently highlighted as a positive aspect, resulting in smooth gameplay and improved overall experience. While some users noted issues with HDR quality and the monitor's weight, the positive feedback on other features outweighs these concerns.

Giving it a 5 stars because this is my favorite monitor but its for PC gamers. Dont buy if you play xbox. Havent tried ps5 but id assume the same. Amazing monitor if you run a 5950x w/ a 3090 ftw3 evga. Then buy this monitor asap. I retired from the sweaty, pc gaming, everyone uses 3rd party software to be good at video games community. Its amazing the difference in the way i get killed in console only lobbies vs PC lobbies. Night and day difference. I got owned in console lobbies. But i never say to myself "wow this dude is legit cheating". Rarely if ever. Hop in pc lobbies. And everyone is a basement dweller with wrist guards 1 tapping everyone from across the map. Mouse and keyboard is an advantage. Yeah no. I use mouse and keyboard on my xbox in fortnite. I still get owned. But its not a sweaty poop sock im rotting in a basement and havent showered in a week, mom i need another hot pocket plz, owned. PC gamers ruined competitive gaming. So yes buy this monitor and get destroyed by "smurfs" aka dummy accounts used to fine tune their scripts so they dont taint their "main" account, in 1440p wqhd. Itll look amazing when you get prefired and 1tapped without making a sound. Skills baby. Half you little wanna be sweats get carried by these "pros" anyway. Ranked 15 in mortal kombat - natecastle1511 Come cheat on mk1 or for honor. Dont forget no aimbot, esp, or wallz do anything in mk1 or for honor. The picture by picture on this monitor is actually legit. Had 2 xboxes series S and series X picture by picture on diablo 4. Looks crispy. Mortal kombat 1. Crispy. But console looks like dookie on this wqhd. Even if you upscale yhe xbox to support 4k res. Still hurts eyeballs. If you dont mind the black edges then by all means. Grab this for console. I wouldnt prefer it. Console = pixio #trust

I give it 5 stars because it's perfect for what I need. The monitor's built-in KVM switch is a game winner for me since I work from home with its picture-by-picture mode. Gaming on it is fantastic for games that do support ultrawide and still passable for games that don't. Shows look great on it so no complaints there. Lots of really good viewing angles as well and the tilt on the monitor stand itself is decent and serviceable. Overall really great monitor and honestly a steal with how cheap it is.

Easy to put together, tool-less design. The stand and the arm snap together and secure with a thumb screw. The monitor drops onto the arm and will snap in place. Easy to pivot, raise, tilt. Joystick on the back of the monitor for the settings felt weird at first but became intuitive to use very quickly. Colors are super vibrant - my old VA panel looks washed out by comparison. Good response times, and I notice no ghosting or smearing. There's a tiny bit of backlight bleed on the edges but it's really only noticeable when the screen goes black during loading screens and such. I read a lot that the black colors could look gray on an IPS panel, but they look... Well, black, to me. The super wide screen makes gaming and movies ultra immersive. Just be aware that some first person games can have a fisheye distortion on the sides when the FOV is too high. Only caveat is that the HDR sucks, but I wasn't needing an HDR feature anyway. I don't regret this purchase at all. Its exactly what I was looking for.

I went from a 24 inch 1080p monitor to this! Such an amazing upgrade! It isnt the best monitor out there but it is far from the worse. If you need something to do work and game i think this is a great balance for the price.

Best ultrawide under $500 no question about it

The monitor was $419 at the time of purchase. The M34WQ is listed as the best budget gaming ultrawide by Rtings, and the best ultrawide gaming monitor under $500 by Monitors Unboxed on youtube. After watching both of their reviews I decided to go for it. It's been about a month now that I've had this monitor and I've had 0 issues with it. Screen Brightness is more than enough, response time is good with 0 ghosting in fast games, its 144hz, flat panel, it's Ips so it doesn't have the best contrast but colors stand out better than a VA panel. All in all for $419 I feel this monitor is well worth it. If you don't know if you wanna go ultrawide or not give it a shot, the extra immersion from open world games is great, the extra field of view in cod, pub g and battlefield has been really nice. Going from 2560x1440 to 3440x1440 I lost on avg 20-25% of my FPS so make sure you have a decent video card. I use a rtx 3080 and ryzen 5900x and it's been a blast

Great panel uniformity with very little to no IPS glow. Overall Im impressed with the picture, inputs and build quality. If really had to find fault it would be how lame the speakers are. I use this for gaming, graphic design and the occasionall movie.

So far, this is an excellent monitor for working, with its extremely smooth frames and easy setup. The standouts are how responsive the screen is, and how adjustable the stand it right out of the box compared to so many other screens. I use it for work mainly and it has made a massive difference in my day to day QoL. For gaming, the colors did look a bit washed out at first until I adjusted some settings, but after I got everything the way I wanted it to look, I was extremely pleased with the results. Along with the KVM switch, this screen is an absolute breeze to use in almost any setting. It is rather heavy so be expected to have to throw your weight around when you initially set it up.

the perfect value and most underrated work monitor

This thing is critically underrated as a work-from-home monitor. There is literally no other monitor on the market that competes with this unique set of features in the price category. If you are someone that works from home, requites an ultrawide or dual screen set up for work, and want a great value, budget option that won't break the bank but has all the features necessary to do what you need it to, look no further. I was looking for an affordable 34" ultrawide IPS with 1440p resolution, not curved, good ergonomics, that has low input lag, color accuracy, and high enough refresh rate (120-144) to handle occasional gaming. And preferably a USB hub. This guy has ALL of that for under $500. It's advertised as a gaming monitor. But honestly, I only wanted a monitor that can handle gaming if I ever wanted to use it for that. My primary use case is for work. For this reason, IPS, 1440p resolution (minimum resolution for reading text), and 34" non curved screen size were critical for me. When you're working on spreadsheets, you really don't want a curved monitor. Two 24" displays side by side felt too short. And two 27" displays feel like too much. I wanted something that could display two pages neatly side by size. 34" is perfect for that. An IPS panel that is bright enough to fight glare is also crucial. I need light in the room when I work. Good economics are crucial for 8+ hour work days and screen sharing. The USB hub and cable management-friendly stand to make your work space efficient and neat. Again, this improves productivity as studies show we work best in organized environments. You want something that can double as a gaming monitor after a long shift? This thing has you covered with high enough refresh rate, low input lag, accurate colors out of the box, and FreeSync. Worried about ultrawide screen sharing? this has PIP and PBP! Basically, this thing has everything you will ever need, from a casual office monitor to someone who won't use all the bells and whistles of a more premium display. If I could make it even better, I would A. remove HDR. It is useless on this and SDR is better anyway. B. make it a bit brighter. It's bright enough but I like an extremely bright display C. Be able to charge devices from the hub. BUT, adding these two things would likely increase the cost, making it no longer a budget option. So I don't mind the concessions. If you are an enthusiast, this might actually still be a great option for you, but you might be looking for the best of the best. This is not that. This monitor is a swiss army knife that gives a little more than what you need and nothing else.

I've been using this monitor for 2 years now, and I still love it. the resolution is great, and i love the non-curved ultrawide design as this is a monitor i use for work. for gaming, the extra width feels like cheat codes at times. With how good FSR (and DLSS) are now, it doesn't even take an insane graphics card to run, either. i have a 6600XT and i can play just about any game at 144 fps at medium or better quality, and with FSR i don't even notice the quality difference.

As a graphic designer and photographer, I needed a flat monitor when I upgraded. The color on this is excellent, and working with an ultrawide has been a game changer. Gaming is also superb with this display using Gsync.

Overall, this monitor is great. The colors and response time seem good, though I haven’t done any quantitative testing or anything. Great value. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that occasionally it doesn’t detect the input for a second so the screen blacks out, but it’s very quick and doesn’t happen often. I don’t think it’s happened in the middle of a game or anything like that. It might only happen when doing something that might change the DisplayPort signal a bit, like starting a video that uses HDCP. It could also just be something related to my cable or computer and not the monitor itself, and even if it is the monitor, it’s not a big deal. As expected for a monitor like this, the speakers aren’t great, but since that’s pretty universal for this kind of monitor, I don’t hold that against it. The headphone jack sounds fine, except that there is noticeable static background noise that would bother me if I used it. I use wireless headphones, so it’s not a problem for me, but based on my experience I would not recommend using this monitor’s audio. Your mileage may vary. I guess I focused on the negatives, but I am actually happy with it overall. The display quality is very good, I didn’t get any dead pixels or noticeable backlight bleed or anything like that. The KVM also seems to work fine, which may be convenient if you use multiple computers, and if not, it’s still nice to have a place to plug in your keyboard and mouse to the display.

It has no power button, which means it won't turn on or off, unless the device it's connected to, such as a console or computer, turns on or off first. But that doesn't mean very much.

I think the monitor itself and what it provides is very much worth the cost. You get a lot of bang for your buck. Unfortunately, I can't give a complete review since the monitor I received got three dead/miscolored lines shortly into first use (about 3 days). So putting that aside: - KVM is nice and works well, and was one of the main reasons I bought this monitor. I have it switching between my PC desktop and Macbook for work. PBP also works but I find it personally not as useful. - Color seems accurate but I'm not a professional that requires exacting color standards. - Maximum brightness leaves a bit to be desired. Contrast is good, however. - No issues with the refresh rate, but I don't play a lot of games that'd be affected by the refresh rate, so I can't be a great judge of this. Separate note but Windows seems to handle the ultrawide (crispness of text, edges) better than my Mac (Intel).

What more could you want from a 34" Ultrawide IPS panel at $500? The LG outperforms it, but at a cost of $1200. I happily saved $700 and settled on the m34wq. Out-of-the-box, it works great. I did end up using a new icc profile for color settings, but otherwise I haven't needed to change many settings. AMD FreeSync works great as well. I did have a difficult time getting hold of this panel. It has been out of stock for a while, and the first one I was able to get was DOA (dead panel). The second one I was able to order was delayed. The built-in speakers are not great. There is a noticeable delay sometimes while watching videos (YouTube, et al.). I would not rely on the built-in speakers if you want crisp, responsive, well-balanced sound.

Love this monitor, before i had used the ASUS Tuf gaming VA ultrawide and it had insane amounts of ghosting. I really have no idea how pc gamers can deal with the insane ghosting on that monitor, but this monitor is an IPS and has zero ghosting. seriously, if you're on the fence you should get this.
