So far so good. I have had problems with both Asus and Gigabyte motherboards in the past (being DOA or other problems) but there have been no problems with this one. I have this with an i9 10900k, RTX 3080 and 64gb of 3600mhz memory and there have been no stability issues with mild overclocks or stock configurations. I appreciate the added PCIE 4.0 support that will allow me to drop in a rocket lake cpu when I feel the need to upgrade and get 4.0 support for the graphics card and one nvme drive from the cpu lanes, without having to move to a z5xx board later on. One thing that used to bother me about my previous mobo, which was an Asus, is that the XMP overclock would occasionally fail to load and I would have to go back into bios to reset it before going into Windows. Whether that was a firmware issue or not I can't say but it was frustrating and issues like that are not here. I was able to setup a custom fan curve for 4 pmw noctua case fans and the 2 on my noctua nh-d15 cpu cooler and everything is quiet and running great. I also have 6 HDDs and 3 SSDs (2 of those are nvme installed directly on the board under the heatshield). Only minor issue I have is if you want to get access to the nvme slots you have to take out your graphics card. I installed one nvme drive when I built the system and then added a second which meant I had to take out the 3080 and remove the entire bottom heatshield on the board. But it's not that big of a deal as it's just something you'll be doing one time or very infrequently. Overall, no problems and although it's a bit pricey I don't have a problem recommending it if you plan to OC or need more support for additional drives and whatnot.

This motherboard has a beefy VRM that should easily help you overclock your CPU. If you experience coil whine, please go to advanced in the BIOS (under tweaker), then go to CPU settings, and then disable C-States control. You do not need C-States to conserve energy when you are overclocking anyway. Furthermore, the transient response and the extra heatsink due to its ARMOR make this motherboard way better when it comes to efficiency and overclocking. Audio and internet connection are excellent. I have no issues with it. Overall, it's a great motherboard and it looks very sexy in any computer case.

I'm a Gigabyte fan but always buy the best bang for the buck. I had no issues with the board but returned it for the Extreme version that I got a tremendous deal on. I had no issues with the installation or hardware. DO NOT use Gigabyte software!! May cause serious performance issues and freezes.

Top of the line z490 board with 11th gen Intel support. I have an i7 10700k on it and will install an i9 or the next 11th gen i7!

Gigabyte is one of the best for Z-490 motherboards. Good memory overclocking if you're looking to use some Samsung B-Die. Recommended.

Poor quality control, board failed after a couple of days of installing. Boot failure. SSD was working just fine. The NVME slots are located right under the graphics card. Will overheat.
