The shelf was easy put together. Sturdy. I really don’t have heavy things on it so I can’t comment there. But works for my storage and organization needs.

I am the family assembly person. This was somewhat annoying to put together. No tools is nice. The pieces didn't always come together easily. If you want to move it, you need to know that the verticle lower frame bars are the only pieces you can grab and keep it together. No big deal if you are keeping it put and don't change your arrangement. Seems heavy duty. I like the boards on the shelves and they did come with center supports. I think the price is good for the size. I would prefer there be bolts to hold things securely. I was going to order more after I put things together, but I am opting for something with bolts/screws.

Sturdy shelving. Construction required a little more effort than expected as all tabs connecting the shelves to vertical supports were not evenly shaped. Very pleased with the end result. Note that the shelves are very heavy as shown in the description.

I looked around price was great, shipping free, and easy to assembly with help no tools required. I really didn't want ply wood shelves but these seem to be coated so you can wipe them down. Full shelves so items don't fall in holes like some and very sturdy. Great in the garage just ordered another one.

This is a really nice sturdy shelf. I was disappointed when I first opened this because the shelves are actually made out of pressed wood, which isn't in the description. But the shelves are surrounded by nice sturdy metal and I've not had any issues with the shelves being wood.

I was disappointed the actual shelves are particle board. Everything in the description talked about “Hammered granite”. They are easily nicked/chipped. Should be a support bar underneath the shelves. Box was all beat up when it arrived.

I was shocked that I could buy this through Best Buy. I have quite a few Gladiator products and have always been pleased with their performance. This shelving system is on the lighter side, which is fine, but it requires metal cross beams under each shelf that did not come in the box for some reason. Also, the shelves are made from a thin laminate which did not do well being shipped to my home. The corners on most of the shelves had some kind of damage. Most of this is hidden when in the unit, but it still stinks. If you decide to buy this, I would pick it up at Best Buy so you can inspect the packaging instead of dealing with it on your doorstep.

The shelves are very good. It took me 45 min with a mallet and no help to put my 1st one together. The key is to use a mallet to make sure the corners are flush to the ground and that the shelves are level. The only problem I had was the shipping. Upon receiving my 2nd unit, I noticed a box of parts was missing. Called Gladiator and they said they would ship me the missing parts at no charge. The box was dropped off by UPS in rough shape allowing a small box of parts to drop out somewhere in transit. I'm buying a 3rd one after talking with Gladiator.

I was running out of room in my garage and decided to purchase this. Easy to put together and can store alot of stuff. For the price it was a great value. The shelf is very sturdy and looked more expensive than it was.

Heavy duty. Seems to be holding up well. only downside is if you try to move it after building it, it can come loose at the joints.

Shelves seem like the will be sturdy however the middle supports were not in the box. Don't do the online chat or email 'contact us' with Gladiator - you won't get anywhere. The customer service person was helpful other than it will take 4-6 weeks to get our missing brackets.

I have purchased a 36” version to store my kitchen appliances and now I got this 48”. Great item! Fully recommended for almost anything!

I used this shelf to convert my office closet into a storage closet. It fit perfectly inside and was easy to assemble! I had to put it together inside the closet because it woudl have been impossible to put together and move in, and it went together perfectly even in such tight quarters . Super sturdy and holds the weight of cases of paper and cardstock, as well as my other materials. I wish they made a smaller size like around 2-2.5 feet wide, because I could really use one in another area of my house.

Easy and great shelf system for storage. Lightweight initially but sturdy enough for any storage unit.

There are a few weak spots and you don’t have total flexibility to place shelves where you want—they strongly recommend specific placements—but overall a great value for a strong shelving unit.

Sturdy and easy to assemble. Looks grey in the picture but is actually black. was perfect to organize my tools and other garage items.
