Good mouse. First wireless one I have ever had. No complaints. Love the second battery pack it includes. Easy to swap

I feel that the mouse is overpriced for what it is and even on sale I find it hard to justify. The battery life for the packs is terrible. The software app is also very buggy, but hopefully they improve it with future updates to the UI. The mouse does perform well in both responsiveness and actuation. I will stick to my D2 until they bring out the next generation mouse and hopefully improve it.

I am really torn on what to rate this mouse. In one way I want to give it a 3 star. When I right click I can hear a spring on click release. That makes me question the durability of the mouse. On another hand I want to give it a 5. I like the design of the battery pack and charger. Having a USB slot in the charger for the dongle is a great idea that maximizes the use of a USB port. The battery pack allegedly will last 72 hours of use. I want to give it a 5, the sensors react perfectly. The weight of the mouse is almost nothing. There are so many things to like about this mouse. I want to give it a 3 every time I have to unplug the dongle and reconnect because it loses connection. The app needs a redesign. The layout is fine, but it does not adjust to the resolution of your monitor. If your monitor is 4k or better, you will have a hard time reading anything in the app. I really like the look of the mouse, setting up the ghost lighting is pretty hypnotic. When in a meeting I sometime just stare at the light of the mouse and get distracted. Overall I have given it a 4, the disconnects are not frequent enough and could be caused by my keyboard mouse switch setup. I use my keyboard and the mouse for gaming and for work. The app issues I can ignore, I rarely will need the app unless there is an update. I am still nervous about the durability, but time will tell if the spring is strong and needs worked in or if I am about to snap it. I have very large hands and the mouse is very comfortable. I use a fingertip grip, the entire reason I selected the D3. According to the Glorious site, that was the best mouse for my grip style. I recommend the mouse with a couple cautions.

built well but ergonomics aren't great, scroll wheel stiff, mouse buttons too slender for thumbs

Awesome concept with the removeable battery. Lasts days in low use.

This is an excellent mouse with top notch specifications. It also has a unique capability that I had not seen before. This special capability is the included docking station which recharges batteries and gives you visual LED indicators for key status/settings. You get two batteries and while one is in the mouse being used, a second one is in the docking station being charged; so you don’t need to worry about charge times – tip of the cap to the design engineers for a very useful battery backup that does indeed come in handy. When I see the dock show the mouse battery is yellow, I swap the batteries the next time I find it convenient. Basically your dock is wired but your mouse can be continuously wireless without concerns for charge times; no more dead mouse just when it is least convenient to stop and charge. The docking station has a port for the wireless receiver dongle, a port for USB connection to your PC and also has status indicators for polling, DPI settings and the charge of each battery. You do also have a special docking station button that has many uses via whatever you set it to in the Glorious Core software which is a simple to use app. If you need, you can print yourself a chart of docking station color meanings for each of the four LED’s. The Glorious Core software has all your setting functions for button assignments, lighting effects, keybinding and performance characteristics. Firmware updates are also handled by this software. I also have a Glorious keyboard so both the mouse and keyboard appear in the app and can be configured in the same app – nice. The mouse fit my (medium) hand perfectly. I tried the battery switching and the mouse stays powered while you switch batteries due to an internal ‘keep-alive’ battery; very clever design. The docking station battery lights changed from green to red if a battery is dead or removed. You can control the polling rate (6 stages), motion sync, debounce times and of course the lift off distance. I was very happy with the .7 mm lift-off distance; but the user should experiment using the Glorious Core software for your ideal characteristics which can vary per game. This mouse operated smoothly and is relatively lightweight, but some mice are a little lighter. I found the weight acceptable especially considering the great RGB lighting and the battery switch capability. This is like a mouse on steroids in terms of its great specs and its unique and convenient ‘two-battery/dock’ design. I love it and highly recommend this little gem.

I am someone who constantly has my mouse run out of battery cause I forget to plug it in and charge it. When I saw this mouse that has swappable batteries as well as a charging station. I knew that this could be exactly what I was looking for. Out of the box you can tell this is a well built mouse. Even though it is extremely light (69 grams) You can tell that it’s a quality product when you hold it in your hand. It comes with the battery base (charger) as well as 2 batteries, a wireless receiver (USB-C) and a braided USB cable. Getting it set up is about as easy as it gets. You just plug in the little dongle, and its automatically connected to your computer. There is companion software you can also download that will allow you to change all of the settings on the mouse as well as change the lighting schemes if you choose. What I love about this mouse is the battery system. There is a small internal battery in the mouse that is used as “reserve power” So if your main battery dies, it will seamlessly switch over to the reserve power so you can swap out the other hot swappable battery and not skip a beat. The mouse wont disconnect from your computer or anything. I have a feeling we will start to see this kind of technology coming from other companies in the near future because it is a game changer (pun intended) Now lets get to how it performs as a mouse. It has a 30K DPI sensor with 8,000 Hz polling rate. This means that you are able to get quick, and extremely accurate results from your mouse. I have absolutely no complaints about the performance during gaming, as well as using it for everyday tasks like photo or video editing. I love the switches on this mouse too, they are good for quiet gaming cause they don’t have a loud click sound. Overall, I am extremely happy with this mouse. If you are a gamer, you will love it. If you are somone who constantly forgets to charge your mouse, you will also love it!

Had the mouse for 3 days and it died in the middle of combat 2 times. They claim it has an internal battery so it doesnt go dead like it did to me twice. It was nice being able to "quick change" the batteries but they didnt last at all.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and I am sorry to hear about the issues with the battery. If the replaceable battery is depleted, the mouse should definitely switch to the internal battery, so that your gametime goes uninterrupted. If this is not the case, please consider submitting a support ticket to our team, so that we can assist you further: https://contact.gorgias.help/en-US/forms/k77oyz80. Thanks!

This review is on a Glorious Model D3 Wireless mouse. I love the black and orange combination. This is the first mouse I have seen with a battery pack like this one. It is a cartridge that you can push in\out to remove\insert. It is kind of like a game cartridge to a Gameboy so this is cool. It comes with a base station, two cartridges and a dongle. One cartridge can be plugged into the base station and the other one in the mouse. Swapping them is easy when the one in the mouse runs out. The mouse holds enough power while you swap so it never looses connection. I do not know how long it will last without a cartridge in the mouse but there is more than enough time to do it. There is 6 DPI stages saved on the mouse. They can easily be changed by the middle button on the mouse or the button on the base. The software offers everything needed to change on the mouse. I have a 4K monitor and the writing in the software is very small but still readable. There are 12 RGB effects to choose from and can be change either by the software or certain button presses on the mouse. There is a brightness selector for each RGB effect but I cannot tell a difference when changing the brightness. You can control the speed of the effect and that works. You can also remap keys to the mouse or the base. The mouse is light and moves around easy. My hand fits perfectly over the mouse. The middle wheel doesn't click loudly when turning it and it has good control. Motion and control is spot on and is very smooth when using the mouse.

This is an interesting mouse in that it uses an exchangeable rechargeable battery. Thus, in theory, you should never have to worry about the battery dying as a newly charged battery is just a quick swap away. The execution of that battery swap was also well thought-out in that there must be a capacitor or some type of small internal battery in the mouse because, when swapping out batteries, the mouse still has power. (I am not sure how long it will retain power without the battery installed, but it was more than long enough to swap out the battery.) The battery charger is sleek and compact. It plugs in to your computer via USB and it has a USB port for the included wireless dongle. The included USB cable is long enough to allow positioning of the charging box wherever you want (within reason). There is also a programmable button on the charging box that allows you to toggle between whatever setting you choose (either by default or via setting it up in their downloadable software). Along those lines, the software works well and gives you several options for customizing the lighting effect, resolution of the mouse, and a few other settings. The mouse tracks well and I have not noticed any cursor skipping. (Cursor movement is fluid.) Being able to customize the resolution of the mouse (dpi) does give very granular control over how quickly the mouse track and, at the extremes of the scale, can arguably be infuriating with the cursor barely moving or jumping from one side of the screen to the other. As far as negatives are concerned, the main criticism I have is that the mouse is very light and feels like plastic in the hand. (Which is not too surprising as it is made out of plastic.) The point, though, is that the mouse lacks heft, if you will. It glides well and is accurate, but it feels too light. The other thing I noticed is that the batteries do not seem to last very long before they need to be swapped. As the batteries can be easily swapped without interrupting my work or gaming, this may not be a huge problem, but if that proves to be the case, I have to wonder how long the batteries will last given a high number of recharge cycles. (Maybe turning off the LED will help the batteries last longer. I will have to check to ensure the batteries are fully charged before swapping to see just how long they last.) Overall, the software. allows for multiple profiles and good customization that includes its DPI sensitivity, poling rate, "debounce" time, keybinding, lighting, and other related functions. The mouse is accurate, comfortable, and has swappable rechargeable batteries. Personally, I would like the mouse to have a little more weight to it and I am hoping the batteries last longer than in my first go around (time will tell). For what I do, the mouse works well.

While there are a lot of things I like about this mouse there are a few parts I do not. First the good. I really like the way the battery hot swappable. This is a very handy feature that I like very much. This means it is handy to swap out a dying battery for a fresh one without too much hassle. It has excellent tracking, one of the best optical tracking I've used on a blue tooth mouse Battery life is a bit above average for a wireless mouse. I seems to hardly weigh anything at all. Where it falls sort, at least for me is blue tooth pairing. About two weeks ago I had a bad Windows update experience. Bad enough I had to while the SSD and reinstall windows on my machine. This means previously connected devices needed to be repaired to my PC. This mouse I couldn't get to pair with my reinstall of windows. I followed the instructions, multiple times, with no pairing with blue tooth. I've tried off and on over the past week or so with no luck so far. I just dug another mouse out my computer parts bin and have been using it until I can get it to work again.
