Does Not Increase Humidity in Room and Smells Bad

Does not make a noticeable change the humidity level in my 143 sq. ft. bedroom. Even worse is that emits a chemical/plastic-y smell when in use. After about 10 or so uses I then tried putting peppermint essential oil in the aroma diffuser to see if it would cover or eliminate the chemical smell. It did not. I simply started smelling 2 different scents - chemicals/plastic and peppermint. I do not recommend this product at all. I wish I had returned it during the return window since the cost was in the 3 digits.
