God Wars is a "tactical" RPG which is cast in ancient Japan. The battle combat is in the vein of Final Fantasy Tactics/Ogre Tactics. The game contains a large amount of content, and it's perfect for playable spurts on the go with the PlayStation Vita.

While the story is mildly interesting, the meat of the game is in the deep customization and resulting tactics. Each character you get is unique and can take a different path. Additionally, there's lots of side missions and content in general to keep you busy for a long time.

This is a solid strategy RPG. For fans of the genre. There is nothing here that's going to blow anyone's mind. It's a nice little title that plays well on the Vita. I've always found I prefer this type of the game on a hand held. It's story isn't as deep as Final Fantasy Tactics. It's depth is not as unending as Disgaea. It's charm is not as captivating as Fire Emblem. It is however an engaging game worth the time of anyone interested in this style of game. Nothing spectacular, but if you're looking for a new title you won't go wrong here.

I really liked the fighting system in this game. It looks great and is a welcome addition to any ps vita collection.

I bought this because I like strategy games. It didn't really hook me, but I would recommend if you get it cheap enough.

I was expecting a game much heavier on the dialogue but the tactical battles are frequent and great. I'm not very far in but this shows great potential.
