Didn't have much hope for this movie when I rented it, but after watching it, decided this was a must own movie. Very entertaining, fun to watch and re-watch, and clean movie. Hard to find a fun movie without a bunch of junk. Very refreshing.

Nice to buy a good movie from $5 bin that didn’t buy when first came out

So I was already a fan of anything Egyptian Gods or Goddess related, so I knew I would probably enjoy this movie. Score! It was very entertaining, and the costuming was great! Loved it!

Gods of Egypt (GoE) 3D is an entertaining movie and well-worth watching if the viewer understands that the fiction part of science fiction is really emphasized. The plot is loosely based on Egyptian mythology and a typical good vs. evil story. I agree with critics who mentioned that the plot is predictable. I was forewarned so that aspect did not bother me. The filming of GoE heavily relies on computer animation and computer generated graphics which makes the 3D effects nice to look at. Don’t get me wrong with respect to computer animation: the actors are still real people. Much of the 3D effect is depth perception rather than objects jumping out at you. With bonus dollars and points I paid $15.99 for the Blu Ray 3D DVD set.

This was a actually a pretty epic movie. Awesome plot and characters. Great story, and satisfying ending. Graphics are engaging and dynamic action! Great with popcorn and snacks!

This was a actually a pretty epic movie. Probably more like an 8 or 9 out of 10, but i have to level out some of the reviews that really dogged this movie. You have to go into this knowing it is a fantasy movie. And it's pretty darn good. Great story, and satisfying ending. Do yourself a favor and don't pay attention to the overall score, just go and see it. There were some unexpected twist and turns. The Director definitely didn't cut any corners. There was some pretty good CGI, as well as some OK CGI. Overall though it was good. Hopefully there will be a sequel. Costumes and acting were good, I know people complained about whitewashing, but really who cares. I know i don't make enough money to care

This is an awful movie, but it’s bizzrely entertaining in the “so bad it’s good” way. Basically every aspect of this film is wrong. The CGI is laughable, the dialogue is so exposition heavy and uninteresting, the story is a blend of other popular movies forced together into a colossal mess, none of the actors looked like they gave a crap, all of the intended comedic moments fall flat, and it’s so, sooo boring. Watching this movie by myself was insanely boring and painful, but watching with some friends and laughing at it redeemed its awfulness. I would not recommend watching the 3D version unless you need an instant headache. I can confidently say that I now know what it’s like to watch $140 million dollars burn in front of my eyes.
