For some reason, I missed this one at the theater. A bluray version at home is just as good.

I mean what’s more to say than Godzilla, have to get into the whole movie to enjoy king of monsters

This is a very good reboot of a classic. I can't wait for the sequel.

This second Americanized version of the Godzilla franchise far succeed where the late nineties one failed, but if you're looking for a serious film involving the savior of mankind (or monsters), you're looking at the wrong place. It's a fun film (in a good way). Not silly, bad as the earlier version where the great Godzilla was portrayed as the out and out villain. Here, he keeps his appearance secret till the big reveal when he fully comes out in all his glory. The special effects people did an outstanding job with our big lizard, his antagonists, and the disasters everyone encounters here. Hint: If you can, try to see this film in a theater or the biggest screen available. You get more of the little nuances that way, especially when all the enlarged creatures go at in San Francisco, which is fun. All the actors do marvelous performances here. Mr. Cranston does an admirable job in the first half of the film, but don't get to attached to his character. I heard that even the Japanese company that owned the rights to Godzilla were happy with the film. That's a good sign. Great summer movie when you don't want to think about anything serious.

Next year is the theatrical debut of KING KONG vs. GODZILLA! It'll be TOTALLY EPIC!!!!

I bought this 3D movie to watch on my VR headset. Love the movie but this 3D version was fun.

Godzilla 2014 set the big stage for the franchise to follow. We've enjoyed the 70s themed Kong and the big monster mash Godzilla: King of the Monsters and we have Godzilla vs Kong knocking on our doorsteps in just a couple of weeks. Now with this 4K UHD Blu-ray disc, we're finally getting the best home viewing experience possible for Godzilla. With HDR10, the colors and black levels offer notable improvement while the Atmos audio mix is worth the price of admission alone. Sadly no new bonus features were included. This is one worth cranking the volume for. Recommended.

Explosions, monsters, tepid story line, everything that a Godzilla movie should include!

The beginning of the second best cinematic universe begins with this almighty behemoth!

FINALLY!!!!!!! This is Godzilla truly done Right!! It gets back to most of the basics that made Godzilla King of the Monsters. I've been waiting a very long time for a real Godzilla movie. I grew up watching Godzilla (and many other monster) movies. This one has the Godzilla showdown that we've all come to love from all the much older Godzilla movies. The acting and action is very, very good. And, it's been updated to reflect the year we now live in. Past blended with Present, done just right. The video of this Blu-ray is Top-Notch, almost leaping off the screen. The 7.1 audio is also superb (for those who have a 7.1 surround system or more). This is a very good thrill ride from start to finish. The only reason I didn't rate this movie 5 stars, is because I wanted to see a longer showdown (fight scene) at the end. Ten more minutes (or slightly more) of the final fight scene, and I would've given this movie 5 stars.
