For anyone that's a Godzilla fan whether movies and comics this is a must have. The only comics that were ever released were back in the mid 80's. So this limited edition novel or comic is a must have in any Godzilla fans collection.

If the recently recent movie wasn't enough, this graphic novel sums up in a nutshell why God zillion is so beloved. A thoroughly gripping story with the only downside being that the story's too short! Hence the rating.

I really liked this book when I read it. Good addition

I was surprsed to find out that Best buy even carried graphic novels or comic books. The Graphoc novel presents an interesting new interpretation of the classic Godzilla character and breathes new life into the franchise. It also gives the reader somewhat of a back story on the creature that no other media format has presented up ntil now. The book was in excellent condition and was on sale at a great price. It was Probably even cheaper than most comic shops would have sold it for. A great find and a great buy!`

I have been debating buying this graphic novel since before the Godzilla movie came out. I just couldn't justify the $30 price tag. Getting it for $3 with the purchase of the Blu-Ray was a no-brainer. The story helps set the scene for the movie and fills in a lot of the background, but I was disappointed that the other monsters dealt with in the book were not the MUTOs from the movie or even the one that the MUTOs hatched inside. That is the reason why it lost a star.

I purchased the book when I purchased the movie and thought that it will really be a cool set to by. The graphic novel was actually a good read. I loved the quality of the pages and the story line was right on point. It is worth keeping in my library and will recommend the book to fans of graphic novels and people who want another reason to know more about Godzilla.

For true Godzilla fans, the overall bar set by filmmakers over the years has been quite low-so it's great to a watch film like this one which has good dialog, a great, immense, huge, towering, awe inspiring Godzilla who leaves us thirsting for a sequel due to minimal on screen time. Plausability was ok if you didn't dwell on some of the weaker plot points too long.

It has a great back history to the movie. My only complaint is it does take away some of the "magic" of the movie since now you do know it. Just as Darth Vader lost most of his "scare" when you find out he was just a whiney, love-stricken, angry all the time, kid. The artwork is also a little confusing, especially with the other monsters, but Godzilla looks great.

Bought the 3D version of Godzilla and I chose best buy because they gave this comic with it. It is normally about $10, and it would have been a good add-on purchase. But since it was free with purchase, it was an awesome deal. Not a very detailed story or art, but I might have purchased it and gave it 4 stars, but definitely recommended.

I've always been a fan of continuations and prequels of stories through these means. When Predators came out, I bought the comic book set "sequel" to the movie, furthering his adventure, and liked the outcome. This was no different. Although it may be harder to follow a straight up monster story where the highlight is destruction, it worked.

Best Buy has dabbled in selling assorted Graphic Novels in stores over the past year - I've picked up all the DC Comics ones they offered. I was psyched to see Godzilla: Awakening being sold in stores - especially at half the suggested retail price. This was an easy purchase.

Was on sale with the Godzilla Blu-Ray so I couldn't really pass it up. It does a nice job of telling some of the backstory to the film and having Godzilla fight another monster is always a plus. Would be nice if it was longer but since it was only $3 I can't really complain.

Our son has been a big fan since he was a little kid, he loved all the classics but couldn't wait to see this one had to purchase, the movie didn't show much of Godzilla but stilled loved the movie.... hope that the next one shows more of him....

Pretty nice bonus here to go along with the release of godzilla for home entertainment. Pretty crisp pictures and a decent length. For 2.99 if you bought godzilla blu ray you can't beat it. If you buy the movie add this to it for a couple bucks.

I got this with the Blu-ray of the movie for my daughter who is a HUGE Godzilla fan, She devoured it and treasures the book. I have seen her a number of times reading it since then. Anything that makes a 4th grader read is good in my book.

I gave the book to my son he loved it.we read a little bit everyday and he wanted it read also before bed so 2 times a day we read this book.a cool little addition to the movie.cool if you like godzilla or have children.

Very good read especially for the price it was 5 bucks you cant beat that for any graphic novel these days. My son also read it and loved it so well worth it. If you are a godzilla fan buy this book.

This comic basically gives you the story before the movie which makes it easier for anyone to understand what happened and connect everything in the comic to the movie. Great illustration too.

It was a great, yet short, read. Effectively sets the tone for the movie and tells a very interesting origin story. There could have been more Godzilla but there was enough to keep me going.

This read is a Great Prequel to the movie, but I wish they would have also made an Anime short film, like they did for Batman Gotham Knight. Only because reading isn't my strong suit ;)
