I remember loving to watch these monster movies as a kid. They were just so cool. I didn't realize I hadn't seen the original until I watched this version of Godzilla. While I enjoyed watching this B&W movie, I thought Burr's narration could have been handled better. He didn't sound like he was really into this movie. Oh well. It was still fun to watch. I was a bit surprised at the ending, though. Not going to spoil it.

This is a great re-release of one of my childhoods all time favorites. The neat part is that it also has the original movies "Gojira" from Japan that had Raymond Burr (One of my Favorite Actors) cut in and of course used English over tracking instead of subtitles. The message is still vital, a little heavy handed, but still stands the test of time.

This is the original Godzilla film as shown to US audiences. I've only watched the US release thus far so I can't comment on how the Japanese version differs. I can't help but feel that the original movie was spliced together with an American actor delivering his scenes outside of the original story. Regardless, this is the original monster film that led to some of the best sci-fi B Cheese of my childhood and probably a good many reading this review.

The original Japanese version and the Raymond Burr inserted Character "Steve (Wild and Crazy) Martin" not , A combo that can't be missed !

The original is great. I have always been a Godzilla Fan. This starts the series of many Monster fests with my children. This movie for the age it is. Has to be a great collectors item.

My husband picked this movie. We seen it at the theatre. So when he seen it on DVD he had to get it.

Consider when this film was originally released, you'll get as much entertainment as you can expect. It's great to see how the franchise started but a lot of moments in this film are just laughable. It's a great time for anyone who can appreciate the pleasurable humor in bad films. With that said, I loved it

My son is a big Godzilla movie fan. This movie was great. It had action, suspense, comedy and it was very entertaining.

I bought both the first Godzilla (in black/white) and this newest one. Fun to see how it's changed

Godzilla is a classic. After seeing the new film I had to see the original.

Forget RAymond Burr, the real Godzilla movies straight form Japan are the best.

We purchased this in a hurry for an inexpensive yet get movie. Not caring to read back for more info we assumed it was the 2014 film. Regardless I am happy with my purchase some what since it is considered a classic.
