    It's disappointing that the film doesn't have the same actors between this one and the one prior but it at least has a very solid cast. As far as I know, there's only 1 actor from the previous film that makes a return so its not entirely necessary to watch that one but I'm sure things would be put into better perspective. I enjoyed it quite a lot but some scenes felt boring and dragged on for a bit before picking back up. The characters were all well acted and likeable but a bit bland as they didn't have much time on them. The CGI on monsters such as Godzilla and King Ghidorah were executed pretty well with great and powerful sound design. All in all I think these 2 films would be perfect to watch before seeing the epic Kong vs Godzilla.
