The 2014 Godzilla was a refreshing take on the legendary character. However, this time around, despite using some of the best villains, fails to capture the energy and originality of the previous version.

This movie wasn’t bad. It has came a long way from the last Godzilla. Also they look like they are going to connect monsters together so it should be interesting. The 4K is the main gift of the movie.

About as good as the first Godzilla reboot, but not as good as the Matthew Broderick Godzilla, still a fun turn your brain off monster flick with the classic monsters brought back for battle royale.

The 2019 movie "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" is going to establish itself as a fan favorite if for no other reason it gets the kaiju right and it lets us see a lot, and I mean a lot, of the monsters! They don't drive just the action for the human characters but they have their own personal motivations that many of us will be able to relate to. I'm not saying that they are completely anthropomorphized because they are still treated as animals, but as animals whom we can recognize through our study of our own animal kingdom.

This movie is a love letter to devoted Godzilla fans, and the visuals, especially in 3D are astounding. Great for showing off your obsolete technology that will make everyone you know go “THEY MAKE 3D TVs?? This is WAY better than 3D at the theater!!” And then you have to explain to them that no, they do not make them anymore, but they should because it’s awesome and nobody gave it a real chance. The end.

The concept: The World needs a cleanse, release all the monsters to fight. Yeah, no it’s a silly setup, but it’s visually gorgeous. Rodon’s intro is possibly the most gorgeous shot of 2019.

Story was ok. Acting was fair. The special effects were a little over the top. It was a continuation of the first Godzilla. My grandchildren liked it. As an adult it didn't do much for me.

Got this blu-ray as a Christmas gift for my parents not long after my husband and I had a chance to watch it ourselves. It's a big, fun, even somewhat thoughtful movie with great effects and I wish we'd had the chance to see it in a theatre. It's also an easy watch even if you haven't seen the remake movie that came before it; there are mentions of events, but King of Monsters follows an entirely new set of characters. If nothing else, get it and watch it for the sheer spectacle of Godzilla and Ghidorah fighting it out!

I won't waste time with the movie. The plot was nonexistent, the acting was laughable and it was longer than it should have been. Now on to the good stuff. If you have theater setup, meaning a large screen and one huge or multiple subwoofers, this movie is must own. It is demo material for anyone wanting to show off their system. The picture is great but the audio is the true standout. I smiled through the entire movie. The bass is ungodly and the soundstage is wide and dynamic. Just grab it and thank me later.

Long-time Gozilla fan who's watched nearly every movie ever made. Mostly liked this one but visually it's a bit on the dark side which is a shame because there's some good eye candy here. Decent story and the monsters are fairly faithful to the originals(trust me it could've been a whole lot worse). About the only complaint is what many professional reviews will say, these movies need less humans and more monsters.

Godzilla v King Ghidorah? Awesome fight scenes. Writing, plot, and acting? Leaves a lot to be desired. Worth watching, but disappointing after the 2014 Godzilla film and Kong.

I saw this in the theater and loved it then. Now I have watched 3 more times so my whole family could see it. Everyone loved it. It is better at home for small children because you can control the volume. Several mothers had to leave the theater with their toddlers because they could not handle the volume during the Monster Fights. Now the whole family can enjoy this movie and watch again and again.

I love this movie, better than the sequel Gvs.K in my opinion, I wasn't a big fan of Godzilla during my childhood but this new MostersVerse franchise changed my perspective and is a must have to my Sci-fi movie collection. Great 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray edition, the visuals are stunning and the sound quality is amazing.!

The monsters and destruction sequences are great, but the human storyline could have been much better. On the plus side, the Blu ray has top notch sound and visuals.

While this movie is mostly dark in terms of brightness. HDR does it’s work on making out the scenes. Don’t expect a major plot movie, more of fan service movie, if you enjoy monsters or titans fighting more than a serious story this movie is a recommended to watch. The audio mastery is nearly perfect in this movie with soundbar and speakers. Might even need 2 subwoofers if you wanted to. The music is unappreciated as well.

If you have seen the last Godzilla movies this is going to be an average film to watch. If course you see more Godzilla, the are some cool scenes but it was not enough.

I loved this movie as a big Godzilla fan. I can see how others might have an issue with it if the plot might seem too unbelievable. But it all makes sense in their fictitious world to me. The 3D in this film is great as well. Not too many pop-outs and not as good as Pacific Rim in 3D, but it's still highly entertaining and looks fantastic. I can't wait for the King Kong vs. Godzilla sequel!

I would have forgiven the film makers if they just wanted to make a big-dumb giant monster movie. But gets bogged down with too much empire building story lines.

Honestly, this amazing movie is well worth it in 3D, in fact I'd go so far as to say this is a movie you could demo to friends to show them how awesome 3D Blu-Ray movies are! I missed out on seeing the 3D version of the movie at the theater (only got to see the flat version) so owning this is a real treat! And it features a robust, booming audio mix as well !!!
