Ok, first of all, this movie came out back in 1989-1990 so this movie is about 23 years old, and at the time the special effects were some of the best seen on screen, so its understandable that by today's standards this movie is lame. But special effects aside this movie was made very well, it has a very interesting story, and of course it has the Big Guy himself facing off one of his most unusual opponents. Fans of the series will find that this is character Miki Saegusa's first appearance in a Godzilla movie, and that this movie is a sequel to 1985's Return of Godzilla. Overall this movie is great cheesy fun, to be honest Godzilla movies tend to have many underlying environmental messages, but you don't watch a Godzilla movie just for that, you watch it to see the Big Guy stomp around and destroy stuff with his tail and sets things on fire with his bad breath. The picture, and sound quality is very good despite the films age, the English translation is not perfect but this is expected in most Godzilla films, especially the older ones, you cant go wrong with either version you buy, its the same great movie.

This first followup to the 80s and 90s Godzilla movie series (which began with Godzilla 1985, a direct sequel to the original 1954 film), is a good one. It explores the more biological aspect of Godzilla with "Biolante," a monstrous plant hybridized from the cells of Godzilla. The science-fiction aspect adds some depth to the franchise which in previous films had turned campy.

I almost jumped on buying the Japanese blu ray release of this movie at a much higher price before finding this release. It contains the English dubbed version as well as the Japanese version, and both sound great! I can't wait for the rest of the unreleased english Blu Ray editions

good godzilla movie to have, godzilla looks meaner and more dinosaur like than most godzilla. not to fond on biollante first couple of metamorphosis, but his last stage is awesome godzilla + venus fly tap+ lots and lots of tentacles = biollante!!! one of the few monsters that actually KO godzilla in the end. the story line is ok, i guess.

It was a little slow in the beginning like other godzilla movies but then it picked up and you got to see him a lot, it ended up being a really cool movie, any godzilla fan should definately pick this up

I've been a Godzilla fan since I was 5 years old, and the big green guy never get's old, sometimes the story line's are weak, but this one is well put together

A fairly good Godzilla movie not the best, but not the worst ever either. If you watch Godzilla movies you know what to expect, if not I would cut my teeth on something earlier in order to get some history.

This is the second entry of the Heisei series. The plot is a little more convoluted than normal, but it is still a great movie. Picture and sound are both good considering their age.

Great movie. I use to have this movie on VHS. Watching it on Blu-ray was a new experience. Wish it had a 5.1 surround mix in english. Great deal for the price.

A descent, but very different sequel from past ones. Subplot could of been written and acted better.

If you're like me, you're just happy to own another Godzilla movie on BD/DVD, in its native language. But if you're normal, your mileage may very. This definitely isn't an example of the best or the worst the Godzilla franchise has to offer. This isn't the one to start with for anyone trying to get into the world of Japanese giant monster movies. But if you're in that world, you're probably already addicted, so just get it because it exists!

This film takes place after the events of Return of Godzilla. Biollante is an awesome. Kaiju. Different from the usual kaiju villains.

Interesting addition to the Godzilla series. This story ties into the other Godzilla movie, "Godzill vs. Space Godzilla".

Finally after waiting many years, Godzilla Vs Biolante is not only on High Def, but finally arrived in Disc form. The Sequel to Godzillla 1985!

Its classic Godzilla, you'll either love it or hate it based on that. The bluray transfer is okay.

It may just be one movie, but it is a good take and new way to go for Godzilla movies.

I grew up watching these Godzilla movies. They remind me of good times. They're a little cheesy but good.

Enjoyable Godzilla and nice Blu-ray transfer. Fun for all Godzilla fans!
