A great movie for home theater system. A great 4k movie!

It’s a fun movie, and the 4K picture looks incredible.

Great match up for these two titans! Enjoyed the movie and features are pretty good.

The fourth film in the "Monster-verse" is an amazingly fun ride that while vastly different from the more serious done of the first Godzilla film in the series, I love how each of the films gets more and more "out there" and insane. This film exists purely to see Godzilla and Kong fight, and then the "surprise" thing at the end is just the icing on the cake. This is primarily a Kong-centric film like the second film in the series (parts one and three are Godzilla focused). Add to this the fact that the 4K is gorgeous, and the steelbook puts it over the edge as a must own for all collectors. While I wish 3D was still included, you can also purchase a 3D version from Amazon and elsewhere, so if you still have access to a 3D set, then I'd recommend buying thing along with the 3D version as well (I wanted to throw that in there as I know Best Buy used to be huge on 3D support).

I originally got the standard physical copy of "Godzilla VS Kong" on 4K/Blu-Ray back when it got released. But, I wasn't really a big fan of the artwork, nor did I want to buy the standard release packaging because the artwork for the Steelbook stood out a lot more to me in my personal opinion. However, despite not being a fan of the standard package artwork, I bought a copy anyways, in case if I were to never have found the Steelbook. Thankfully, after months of not having the Steelbook at my local Best Buy, I was able to find 2 copies of the Steelbook (I ONLY bought 1 btw) and was really, really happy! As for the standard 4K copy, I plan on giving it away to a family member, who I know loves the film. As for the movie itself, it's a fun thrill ride with really great action and visuals, and I give the film a 5/5.

Expired 6/30/2023. Be wary of warner brothers movies that have digital codes. They expire. Many other companies have expirations but they dont actually expire. With WB they do expire. This is like number 4 movie for me that has an expired code.

King Kong! Godzilla! And special guest stars. What's not to like. Well, there are a few things. First, I thought the whole, "let's turn this over to the children of Monarch" was a bit annoying. Actually, that's about it for me. I really liked the movie. I felt it was more of a King Kong film than a Godzilla film. Godzilla's motivation was a bit "Meh!" but good enough to keep the movie moving along as well as most character's motivations. I was disappointed that the adults in the room were relegated to supporting cast members. I also found the comedy forced and hope the next entries into the King Kong and Godzilla franchises pass on forcing jokes and zany characters down our throats. The special effects were top notch. Sound track rocks if you have the right sound system. And the movie does open some new physic's warping new ground. But, what would a giant stompy monster move be without some non-sense science to explain stupid plot devices that keep the movie moving forward. I cannot wait until the next one. I just hope this series backs away from going the WWE wresting route that the classic films when down and try to keep these monsters in their lanes and somewhat serious.

Actually, I would give this a rating between good and excellent if possible. I'm rating it as a science-fiction-behemoth type motion picture. So, no, it's not Citizen Kane or Chinatown, okay? This is simply a fun, big monster movie with a very decent story line. I wasn't really expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. But, Kong and Godzilla had some good supporting actors. The villain perspective had enough weight to it that makes a viewer "buy into" the world of this movie. Yeah, a few groaner moments in this film. But, hey the audience REALLY has to suspend their disbelief in a popcorn-action movie like this anyway. Those who despise the sci-fi genre or can't stand watching a Godzilla or King Kong movie won't like this latest spin on the big monsters. All the rest of us...jump in and hang on for the ride!

Decent crossover film. Plot nothing special, but action scenes are good

Let's just get real. This movie MUST be viewed in 4k for, its spectacular monster battles, including several rounds of GvK sparring. Wingard clearly sympathizes heavily with Kong, giving him an enhanced humanity and strong emotional connection with a pair of human females, but it is the reptilian Godzilla who steals the show with his rugged, no-nonsense approach toward maintaining his status as King of the Monsters. Some familiar characters (including, thankfully, Eleven) return, and the addition of a few new faces like Brian Tyree Henry and the remarkable young Kaylee Hottle provide some surprising depth. The humans, though, remain infinitely less interesting than the wonderfully developed monsters, including a formidable new menace in the form of Mechagodzilla.

Movies digital code was expired 6months ago so i feel like i didn't get what was said on packaging.. and its not bestbuys fault the company producing the item should not have it expired with a 5yr window

Legends collide in "Godzilla vs. Kong" as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. It's no mystery that first two Godzilla films from Legendary received lukewarm receptions from fans and critics alike. But, after Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla finally became a giant in his own right. Godzilla vs Kong is the culmination of the events from Godzilla and Kong: Skull Island and puts these two behemoths on the same screen, together. Faced with the threat of an evil human and is hybrid creation of Mecha-Godzilla, the kaiju sets his sight on his new adversary (a hybrid that uses the DNA of Ghidora), he takes time fighting with Kong before they eventually team up in a kaiju version of a smackdown battle royale. Definitely worth picking up, just for these fights alone.

EPIC. Loved this movie SO much! Ever since the related Kong came out I was hoping these movies would be made! The visuals are amazing, as usual! The story was also impressive. This was such a grand-scale movie, very enjoyable. The outcome of the movie was decided by those who created it. I personally see it the opposite way, as we can more relate to the "non-winner." My gripe- I realize we can't get the original couple back from Disney to be in this Kong movie, but the human roles should have carried over in all these films. I hope they continue to make these movies. And in my mind, the other giant is the winner!

If you're a steelbook aficionado, this is a worthy addition to your collection. The picture's don't quite do it justice, as the blue and orange really do pop. In terms of picture quality, there may not be a better looking 4K transfer among new titles, especially considering it has Dolby Vision encoding. And in terms of audio quality, there also may not be a better Dolby Atmos experience among new titles. If you haven't seen the movie yet, it delivers on the promise of a throwdown between the two literal titans of monster movie history... to an extent. While not as bad as in King of the Monsters (IMO), there are far too many human characters gumming up the works with their half-baked dialogue and broad characterizations. That (and some other minor quibbles) aside, GvK provides exactly the sort of absolutely bonkers spectacle any fan of either character could want.

Nice steelbook. Shipping for this item went well. No damage to the case, which I was fearing. Packed in an envelope of sorts with thin padding. As for the movie, I loved it. The rematch I waited a lifetime for finally went down. Some usual cheese that is inherently tied in to these kind of films. But I wouldn’t want it any other way. Cgi works well for Godzilla and Kong. Actors supply the necessary exposition that’s needed to movie the story along when your Stars are two big cgi creatures. Could of used more Godzilla as Kong is the focal point. Fun, cool action pieces, great sound. Hoping the monsterverse continues.

Decent movie with awesome 3D effects especially with the very limited 3D releases we get in the US. The movie is decent it has some nice action sequences that awesome in 3D that’s the main reason I bought it. Hopefully we get more 3D releases as I’m still a big fan of 3D tvs. I don’t have much to say about the movie it’s decent and would recommend if you’re looking for 3D Blu-Rays.

The heart of GODZILLA VS KONG definitely belongs to the absurdity of the later-era Showa films and beyond with its embrace of cartoonish subplots and outlandish technologies, which will turn off those who gravitated towards the more grounded nature of 2014's Godzilla, but also better sets up the film's biggest (and unfortunately worst-kept secret) reveal. It dispenses entirely with any semblance of character arcs for its human cast and wastes as little time as possible getting to the monster mash we paid to see - and holy crap, does it crank up the intensity once the fists and flippers start flying. Bathed in visually splendrous neon cinematography and powered along by another thunderous score from Tom "Junkie XL" Holkenborg, GvK embodies both the best and worst elements of the MonsterVerse thus far, erring on the side of big, booming, bombast to crowd-pleasing effort.

The movie was fine… fun even, though it took its time getting there. The only thing missing from the movie was Millie Bobby Brown. Expectations were that as more of the saga’s storyline advanced, the peripheral characters of past movies would get a more involved spotlight to the titan wars. The humans offer up the mystery and intrigue, while the monsters deliver the heroism and devastation. What’s the point of having an actress of Millie’s caliber and onscreen presence if not displaying it in a more ambitious role? Seems a waste, but time should tell the tale. Godzilla needs a human intermediary just like Kong, in this case Millie’s character would serve admirably. Just my own vision for the saga, and my own disappointed gripes that to the core burn me.

This was a great 3D movie! The 3D quality and effects were fantastic. The story was interesting but as usual with these movies there's always some moments where you need to stop your brain from thinking too much about what's going on. The action was fun and the characters were enjoyable. If you're a fan of Godzilla then I would recommend you watch this. And I would recommend this one to any 3D Blu-ray collectors out there. Thank you WB for continuing to release 3D movies here in the US! 5 out of 5 stars
