First off, there really are no special features, unless you count 5 trailers. Now when it comes to dubbing any Godzilla movie into English, the lip syncing with the audio will obviously be off. That's to be expected with different languages. Also, this is the first movie where I've seen a black hole be used as a weapon. Although, when the black hole weapon is first tested, it gives rise to the Meganulon from the Carboniferous period. Last thing i'll mention is that this one is a direct sequel to the 1954 movie, thereby ignoring all others in between.

It's Godzilla in all his gleaming glory. It's a pretty good movie, though I wish it came in Blu-Ray version.

This is one of the later Godzilla movies, better made than some of the earlier Godzilla movies.
In this one, a weapon is created with the intention of sending Godzilla into another dimension. A rare insect is exposed to interdimension energy and is mutated into a monster. Japan is caught in the middle in a battle between Megaguirus, the mutated insect, and Godzilla.
The monster suits are well designed and the action features some top quality CGI visual effects. The miniature set looks realistic and this makes for one of the most exciting giant monster duels I've seen on the big screen.
The consept of an insect mutated into a monster is actually pretty well thought out and makes sense in the context of the film. The plot is well written and the movie is well directed. This ranks as one of Godzilla's better big screen outings.
As with any movie, makes sure you watch it in it's original language rather than the dub. The dub cast is not quite as good as the original cast and the fact that the voice and lip movements are out of synch in the dub version can be jarring at times. Don't worry about subtitles, reading them is much easier than you might think.
Recommended for any fan of sci-fi, Japanese movies or Godzilla.
