First off when i began setting it up the plastic stripped and i had to put electical tape around the end of the screw so it would fit snug. Strong solid metal and theres plenty you can do with the bar, however the holes didnt line up for assembly and after i finally did manage to get it all together, it isnt straight its crooked. I unfortunatly am going to keep it because its not worth the return due to the fact you have to pay for the shipping back and 15% restocking fee. i do not recomend this for anyone, the Iron gym as seen on TV is better than this P.O.S

This was simple enough to assemble, just read the directions. I wound up returning it because all the doors in my home have wide pieces of trim above the door which prevented it from sitting properly.
