Had the pleasure of seeing this film with my wife and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a good level of drama, with the occasional laugh in there as well to lighten the tone a bit. Overall a good film that I would recommend to those that saw the trailer and felt it was interesting. It will not disappoint.

Desent movie, very interesting from being to end..

Matthew McConaughey plays what is a bit of a different role... and look for him. We are use to Matthew being a well dressed debonair guy, needless to say that wasn't what he was in this movie. While certainly not the best of his movies, it has its moments.

THI MOVIE WAS THE TYPE OF MOVIE THAT CREATES MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SUBJECTS AND THEIR MOTIVES. IT WAS A STEADY BUT SLOW PREMISE THAT SOMEONE WAS GOING TO GET RICH. THE STORYLINE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN. LOTS OF UPS AND DOWNS.

Matthew McConaughey plays a modern day minerals prospector looking for gold in Indonesia. McConaughey goes, completely convincingly, from the emotionally highest high to the lowest low in his pursuit. If the movie has a message, it might be a cliche: To be alive, pursue your dream, and then even the lowest low is okay. But McConaughey makes that cliche a believable reality with his bravura performance.

For years, most of us McConaughey fans have enjoyed his roles as a good-looking ladies man. In "Gold", he is practically bald-headed as a hustler who is always looking for a "get rich quick" job. He hooks up with a similar guy who is always looking for the "big payoff". The film was shot in several countries and directed by Oscar nominee Stephen Gaghan. Interesting film so check it out!

The disc performed without issue.The movie based loosely on an actual story shows us how money can be made or lost when people are blinded by greed.Really did not have any use for the extra disc.

"Gold" is an action/drama movie based on a true story that will keep you on your toes. Many twists and turns throughout this film kept me interested the whole time. Matthew McConaughhey put his heart and soul into the role of "Kenny Wells", a prospector who is desperate for a break. Definitely don't want to miss this one!

As a loose adaptation of a real scam, a few times the story got a little wild but the story of greed usually is. Matthew M is not afraid to look less then svelte once again!

what a good story. the only thing that stops me from rating it great was the amount of profanity totally not needed. took away from the story.

It was a good movie, although it starts a little slow. Matthew McConnaghy is excellent in acting out the character that he portrays in "Gold".

Don't you dare believe the critics on this one. This movie is astounding if you like suspense, drama, and over the top stories!

Gold is based on a true story and shows just how far people will go for gold. Fine acting from all make this a must see film.

Great story based on Canadian prospector and mining company David Walsh is played by Matthew McConaughey in excellent role and will not give away rest of movie plot. Worth watching and ending has twist to it, read the book for true story also.

Yes that is right, Matthew McConaughey touched a real tiger for this role. Not one of his best, but its not his worse.
