Somewhat hard to find. Best Buy had. Shipped quickly and my daughter really enjoys.

First, I should say that I jumped at a chance to buy this set only because I got a Black Friday/ Cyber Monday deal. (I wish my order of the Season 2 would have went through.) However, I would have eventually thought about buying the seasons a few years from now if/ when the regular price would have dropped. After catching a few episodes when aired after The Middle, I really enjoyed what I saw. The Goldbergs is a relatively family-friendly and very relatable sit-com (even for those of us born after 1980-something) about a family with three teenage kids living life in 1980s suburban Philadelphia. Storylines often center around real life experiences of the producer and youngest son of the family Adam Goldberg. Those experiences often involve various pop culture phenomena, "current" events, typical adolesent lessons/ happenings, family life interactions, and etc. The case is sturdy. The discs seem to work so far. It doesn't come in a slip cover, but I don't mind that with this particular set. There are some bonus features.

I absolutely love this show, I am so glad it hasn't gotten cancelled, the networks are so quick to cancel shows nowadays because they want an instant hit. The mother and father are as goofy as can be, I love Mom in this, she is hilarious. The first time I saw her in something else besides this show, it took me a minute to figure what I knew her from, her hair is so big in this show, LOL Anyway, this show makes me and my son (he's 12) laugh every single time we watch it, even if we'd already seen the episode. And being retro 80s makes it so much more funny, since I grew up in the 80s, this show brings back so many memories from songs and things from that time. I certainly hope this series is around for years to come, we need more shows like this to make us laugh and forget whats going on in the world around us each day, if only for 30 minutes!

Such a great show. Everyone's family is a little strange but the Goldbergs are way more entertaining. The dad who just wants to be left alone. The grandpa who is too smooth for his own good. The mother who smothers her kids too much and wants everyone to know how wonderful they are. The rebel teenage daughter. The middle brother who just wants to be popular like his older sister. And the youngest brother who enjoys every movie and wants to capture all of his family's moments on tape. It is always fun to see the clothing styles and trends that were so popular during the 1980s back on the screen. A popular song of the 1980s is always used and tied into the story of each episode. Fun to see what they will use in each one.

Love this DVD set and all the great bonus features it comes with! Includes 5 episodes with audio commentary, The Making of the Goldbergs, a set tour showcasing the 80's look, a costume design feature, A backstage look at Patton Oswalt as the voice of the grown up Adam and a studio tour with Jeff Garlin. I sometimes get hung up on how there is no regard to the order of 1980's events, but the humor and heart of this show always make me love it in the end. I love how a single episode can make me roll on the floor laughing and then tearing up all within a span of 22 minutes. I think it really got better as the season progressed and is completely worth the purchase price!

This show is hilarious! We've seen the "70's Show", now we have the "80's Show aka The Goldbergs". This show, so far, has captured tons of 80's references, iconic tv shows, movies, toys, you name it..all is just a backdrop to the hilarious script based on a young boy's childhood experiences in life and @ home in the 80's. It's like the Wonder Years meets The 70's Show(minus the weed references). If your an 80's baby, you will def find plenty to relate too and laugh at, w/ tons of episodes!

If you grew up and/or lived in the 1980s and haven't seen The Goldbergs yet, you are doing yourself a disservice. Show creator Adam Goldberg (who shares a name with the show's lead character), pumps all of his childhood memories into The Goldbergs and nostalgic hilarity ensues. Right from the first episode of season 1, The Goldbergs is a hit. Highly recommended to anyone with a soul.

The Goldbergs Season 1 on DVD captures the gem of a TV comedy series that needs to be discovered by a larger audience. Most of the storylines are taken from the show creator's real life and they are entertaining and funny. The cast is excellent, with Wendi McLendon-Covey cast perfectly as the overbearing mom. A DVD Special Feature interestingly explains the background of the casting choices

This family show set in the 80's is a great reminder of the decade we love to visit everyday. A family that argues like the Ramonos, Sticks together like the Ingalls, and is hilariously goofy like each and every one of us. Loaded with acid washed jeans, over-sized hair and earrings, you'll love seeing old products we used to use and maybe still do and video clips from shows we miss.

Even though I had seen all of these episodes on TV I HAD to have this incredibly funny series. It pokes fun of the decade that was possibly the best decade in the history of decades! Not to mention it hits close to home for me as I was of similar ages with an siblings at about the same ages. This is the story of MY life in a way! A REAL LAUGH RIOT every time I watch this!!

I missed out on seeing The Goldbergs from the beginning on t..v, so I was hoping to catch up with it on DVD. I was a teenager during the time of the show, so it's very relatable (if not always 100% accurate). It's not always LOL funny (like Modern Family), but the more time you spend with these characters, the funnier it gets. And while I prefer to watch newer shows on Blu-ray, the DVD picture is excellent. In fact, when played back on my Blu-ray player, I could swear I was watching it in that format. Definitely recommended to anyone who lived thru the 80's or anyone who still appreciated a well-scripted sitcom.

this series is best kept secret on tv. funnier than big bang theory and modern family. it reminds me of the wonder years. set in the 80's, perfectly cast both adults and children. you will relate to the family situations and life lessons. the most underrated show today.

Never saw it on network TV. Someone recommended it so I bought season one. Funny sitcom. Good sitcoms are rare these days. This is one of the best. Set in the 1980's so I can relate. Decided to start from the beginning with Season one.

As a child of the 80's, I love that the show stuffs each episode with 80's references. While the humor is up to todays brash standards, which I have no complaints about, each episode also ends up showing a heart felt message that feels genuine. Love the show.

This show is well-written and funny. I'm not crazy about all the swearing, though. Also, the references made to the 80s are all over the place. In one episode, they may reference things as happening at the same time that span several years. Also, the real family that the show is based on had 3 sons and no daughters. The oldest child was changed to a girl so they'd have more stories to tell. However, this is a sit-com, so one doesn't expect complete accuracy, and as a comedy, it does well.

I'm not normally someone that likes sitcoms, but the Goldbergs is one of the best shows on tv. As a child of the 80's, it really takes me back. Not only is it extremely funny, but it also always has a great family theme. I cannot recommend this show enough.

This has been a great television show! It has been fun watching it on DVD since missed it on TV. Only thing that would have been nicer is that the DVDs are stacked on each other rather than have their own individual spot in the case.
