What more can be said about the highest grossing film ever....if you look up Hollywood classic in the dictionary a picture of Scarlett and Rhett will be there. I was amazed when turning GWTW on.....the Blu Ray quality is unbelievable especially for a film thats around 80 years old. It was like seeing Rhett, Scarlett, Mammy, Tara and all the rest for the first time. I can't recommend this Blu Ray any higher.

    Simply The Greatest!

What else can be said about this movie? It's a Classic for a reason. This Blu-ray transfer looks so good. There's still a bit of film grain (play with your tv settings, sharpness increase) that can help sometimes. But overall it looks better than ever. And if you've got a big screen 4K tv with upscaling then wow it's even better. I would really love to see a 4K transfer of this soon.

The South was never the same after 1865

This epic film, which runs nearly 4 hours, garners a well deserved place in movie history as one of the best films ever produced. It illustrates much of what the South was like during that era, in its portrayal of its people and the hardships they went through, before, during and after the Civil War. Great acting, storyline and overall, an educational movie well worth watching with the family.

This is not only an eye-popping cinematic treat, but one of the greatest stories ever put on film. The movie lasts nearly four hours (longer than any other mainstream commercially successful film ever made), but the time goes by so quickly that you'll miss it when it's over. Whether it is indeed the greatest film of all time will continue to be debated, but it should remain in the top five, especially since this was made in the late 1930's.

Sometimes the south is portrayed in an alternate historical view, and this movie does just that, this is a great classic film for its PQ and story but though if you go in knowing your history , you'll know it romanticized the south without showing the ugly side of history. So I would not say this is a true representation of that era but of what the directors' idealized version of the south. So this movie does not tackle thorny issues in regards to social issues, so maybe that's why it's aged so well, because it's ambiguous to the real issues of the time. Still it's a movie that's talked about and written about. Still a must and worth a watch if you like film.

This movie is an absolute classic. This movie got released the same year as the Wizard of OZ (another classic movie). I can never get tired of this movie. Although it is one of those movies with an actual intermission in-bedded within the movie because it is so long. It is just one of those movies I can enjoy either by myself or with family.

From the first time i saw this movie i fell in love with it. I have lost count how many times i've seen it, but definitely is for the ages. At the time it was produced it achieved many milestones, that today we take for granted, thanks in part to cgi. The scene of the burning of atlanta as well as others were outstanding feats in cinematography.

The classic movie where Rhett Butler just doesn't give a ****! See it in all of it's 1930's glory! With Vivian Leigh and Hattie McDaniel (The 1st African-American woman to win an Academy Award!!!!) Warning, this movie does not contain 1000 elephants!

Gone With The Wind is an example of 1930's movie making at its' best. The love story takes place during one of our country's most difficult times. The two classes- plantation owners, and their oppressed slaves, the north and south conflict. The movie is true to the book.

Clark Gable is on fire! He’s the most charming person I’ve ever seen on screen! This movie is so much better than I remember it being. I was forced to watch it at school and hated it! Now, I love it!!! And its sequel Scarlet. Google it, it’s a real thing

I had zero intention of buying this copy of GWTW when I arrived, as I already own a standard version on DVD that I’ve not watched in years, but . . . a super discount price at Best Buy during the holiday days turned a “Why?” into a “Why not?”. I’m obviously a sucker for a great deal. And it IS a great classic movie.

The 70th anniversary blu ray version of Gone With the Wind is much better than the original version. The colors are much brighter and the movie was sharper. The sound track also sounds better which is phenomenal for a two-track version from 1939.

How could you possibly go wrong with Gone with the Wind? A timeless classic. Very beautiful movie. Nothing like this even close now a days. Modern movies look fake and has a new world order agenda threaded into the story line.

I finally saw this for the first time and I have finally learned why my mom wanted to slap scarlet for so many years! In my honest opinion, Rhett is gorgeous and Ashley ugly.. The movie overall is good! As a southerner I think it's funny how it portrays some southerners.
