This is pretty much the closet you'll hear nowadays to a concept album for Hip-hop. I have to compare this to Outkast because of the way it can be played from beginning to end and tell a story, the good and the bad, but all real. Production is great, the extended version of 'Swimming pools' is amazing compared to the radio edit. Lamar changes his flow style not only from song to song, but even in each song he rides different parts of the beat, it's great. The whole album has surprised me, I'm not the biggest skit fan, but they are all perfect transitions for the songs. I'm repeating many songs that will never hear radio play and constantly checking which track is on b/c I hear something I haven't heard even though I've listened to this album, this seriously reminds me of 'Aquemini' or 'ATLiens', b/c it's actually getting better every time I hear it. Super impressed with the content and the overall album. There isn't a single track I skip.

This is the best album I've heard in a very long while. Its funny, realistic, and catchy all at the same time.

I took me a while to catch on to Kedrick but he definitely had the best album of 2012

Kendrick Lamar is a original rap artist. He's in his prime right now.

major letdown this album is. other than the songs youve heard on the radio no other song is good. and album is very short and has several skits. was expecting so much more from kendrick had so much faith its first music album ive purchased in 3 years

CD is okay........I only like 2 songs on the cd, everything else on here I dont listen to
