Though the album is intermingled with tracks which verge on what some might call "noise" (my parents seemed to think so), what Modest Mouse succeeds in doing far outweighs those moments. They skillfully weave tracks together; just listen to the transition between Float On and Ocean Breathes Salty or between Interlude and Blame It on the Tetons - moments to relish. And the melodies they put together are pretty impressive; give One Chance a good listen - case and point. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys an album for what it is - for its faults as well as its strengths - because, though Good News for People Who Love Bad News has drawbacks, it has solid instrumentation and a number of well-crafted melodies - with plenty of catchy rhythms. If this album is any one thing, it is unique. Pick it up for some good vibes.

So many great songs on this particular album. Well worth the money!!

Not sure that they actually make any music not worth buying

Been meaning to get this for a long time! One of their best!

This band sets very high standards so it is not surprising that this album is not quite as unique as earlier efforts, Moon & Antarctica or Lonesome Crowded West. Still, this is really good music and stands up very well along side the others. If new to this band, this album is a bit more accessible than Moon and Lonesome, and may be a good place to start a Modest Mouse journey.

Good News For People Who Love Bad News is one of my favorite Modest Mouse albums, as well as their most commerically successful. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to get into them as a band.

Bought this for my vehicle since I only have Am/Pm and a CD player in it. Love this album so much.

I bought this CD for like $6. I used to own but lost it. The CD is very upbeat and great to listen to.

I bought for a couple of songs and found more that are good

This is the perfect CD for soft rock lovers. Modest Mouse is a great band. Listening to their songs uplifts listeners and gives courage to people all over the world. Although all the songs on the CD are great, the best two are Float On and The World At Large. I am confident that you will like this CD as much as I do.

Modest Mouse always provides great lyrics and original sounds that are not very similar to any other groups. Excellent buy!
