    It had been ages since I watched this classic and it holds up well. it is a story of conversion and growth, the story of a strong caring woman who helped a rigid man humbly open up to a fuller life. If you are looking for an uplifting film, this is a good one. While the setting of a British boarding school is not our typical experience, the human dynamics ring true.

    Finally released in blu ray, this is the tender classic GOODBYE Mr. Chips, and the Oscar-winning performance of Robert Donat, for all to enjoy. The original telling of this sensitive story of a charming gentleman schoolmaster is worthy to own if you are a fan of a great piece of cinema excellence.
