    product never stream. Called Directvnow support they said there ARE problems with device they could not ,repair. I purchased a Fire stick, there still are problems but I Am Working On Them With Directvnow Will Return The Chromecast Device. IT IS USELESS.

    haven't checked for recently updated sw revisions but out of the box; noticed challenges with apps begin allowed to broadcast. eventually it started working, but compared to original chromecast this was not as good. however other design feature made it easier to connect to HDMI port on TV that had ports "hidden" behind a crummy generic wall mount.
