I guess I do not completely understand the concept, Apple casting works well, why I want to google Splat stuff all over I am not sure, but I hate You Tube as well- so I am wrong person to ask. Kids make it work just fine.

I have a slow internet connection and the unit takes too many stops to be of much use. Perhaps if I get a faster internet, it would work better. Will consider a change in near future and will see if performance inproves.

Google Chromecast is convenient for sending video from your phone or tablet (via Netflix, Hulu, etc) to your television. It's great if you don't own a smart television, but if you do, the Amazon Fire TV is a better option.

I've barely used it so far. Bought it in conjunction with purchase of Google Home device, and have only used Chromecast to "cast" music from Google Home to my tv 5.1 sound system. Lot of exploring left to do.

I have the chrome cast plug into my TV so all I do is tell Google home to switch it to You Tube, Netflix etc. Not the best idea .Need something better.

I use this to watch netflix on my tv, but I was having some issues with the low volume sound from the device as many others are having and also the screen mirroring does not work propperly. I was expecting more from this product

I bought this to compare against the Amazon Fire Stick. In my opinion, the Amazon Fire Stick has superior features and content available. Don't get me wrong, Chromecast is not a bad option just was not a right fit for me.

It does what it says it does, though I could wish for more stability while casting. Thing is, most of what it does is done just as well by my DVD player. It works well with Plex, which is the only reason I kept it at all.

I personally use the chrome cast with a projector however the reason for the 3 starts is can split the audio to bluetooth light the apple tv does , i know price difference but maybe future firmware can fix this.

I like this product a lot. However, it gets a little tricky depending on your Internet connection (I live in an apartment with a shared connection) and the kind of device you are casting from. Overall, I would recommend it.

Please make sure that if you're going to purchase this item, you check compatibility with all of your devices. I bought this as a gift and bought a Amazon tablet with it as part of the gift and it is not compatible.

It does what it needs to but when using a PC to cast a mirrored image to the TV it's still not that clear. I was hoping that these generation 2 units would be better but it's the same as the first one.

These new Chromecast are not as good as original version. Has issues with connecting without a router setup and WiFi when should be able to connect to mobile without that.

Wish it would stream from Amazon Prime and iTunes (somehow). It is just another streamer, and I basically bought it so my son could project his chromebook on the TV. Aside from that, it is just another streamer...

I have experiencied what seem to be memory problems with this devide, which hangs and gets restarted automatically....never happened with the previous version, which I also have. I was expecting better

Was looking for a device that can mirror my phone or laptop. The device is good quality but I did not get what I was expecting. Price is reasonable. Wish it did not required to be plugged in the electrical outlet.

Needs a remote for older people who are not comfortable with casting. It is a bit glitch and often requires uncaring and recasting to get to work. Not Google's best performing or best designed product.

I review this online & called the store. Was told this product would fit my needs but once i got it, there was so many things i has to do to get it to do what i needed it for... but it's good for what i paid for it.

My feelings on the Chromecast are mixed. I go back and forth as I feel like sometimes it works as intended, while other times it leaves me scratching my head. Could have been better.

I purchased this with intention of being able stream content from my portable devices. But it appears it only works with android operating systems. I had to return and purchase an Apple TV which worked out perfectly
