The device worked fine while I used an old, slow wi-fi system. But, it doesn't work with the newer, much faster wi-fi systems like Orbi's that I recently installed. So, buyer beware!

It functions as designed, but it's not as practical as I thought it would be... and with a smart TV, it's really quite useless. You're better off getting a Roku!

At times the apps would loose connectivity with the devise. Was very annoying to constantly reconnect.

The unit did not work like the sales man at best buy. It will not work unless you have Wi-Fi and the sales man did not tell me ,that. So I did not use it and return the next day

I bought this to connect with hotel wifi during my travels and found out that the hotel blocks their signal so it will not work. You would need to use your own wifi to enable this unit.

Only format I could find to connect to Google play. The wifi thu put is sketchy at best. Stop, start, skip. SD video play back was okay, but forget HD content streaming. My two cents.

I didn't realize that it isn't a streaming stick; it only projects content that you have pulled up on your device. It's also a little laggy unless you have some blazing fast wifi at home.

I am the owner of a both an Amazon Fire TV Stick and a Google Chromecast. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. I do prefer the Amazon Fire TV Stick with more functionality.

I was not very impressed with this product. It took a while to pair with my Google home and once it was paired there wasn't that many options. I would not recommend this product.

If you just use Google this is probably good for you. I use Amazon prime for many movie purchase on my kids Kindle Fires, but I can't access them unless I use a browser window.

Works OK, but slow. Communication with PC and router, only about 13 feet away, poor and unreliable. Haven't used it again since the first time I set it up two months ago.

I don't have WiFi at my home but was told at Best Buy that as long as my cell phone's data and the hot spot options were on Chromecast would be able to connect to my cell phone and use it as WiFi network. I tried setting this up but Chromecast does not pick up my phone as an available WiFi network. Maybe I missed something. I also have a HD TV with built in WiFi direct and the TV does pick up my phone as a WiFi network. No problems connecting to my phone using my TV. I would only recommend buying Chromecast if you have WiFi.

The streaming apps available for this device are limited, especially when compared to ROKU's offerings. It's small footprint is a plus.

this product may be cool, but it did not work for me or with my technology so I had to return it the next day; no biggie, just make sure your stuff is compatible.

Decent device, but it seems to have a bit of trouble with wifi signal strength in our facility. Other devices in the same area have reasonable signal, but this drops signal frequently.

When it works, it's great. But it's constantly disconnecting from the control device and has to be rebooted constantly. Get a Roku instead.

I thought this device would be great but is useless. I could connect my apple devices better than my google PIxel (Google to Google)

I was not aware that you had to have this model plugged into an outlet, I had the previous usb version which was more convenient. Overall it works well for what it is intended for.

Got this for free with the purchase of my google pixel xl, it only works half the time, mostly my devices won't find it or connect to it.

Like the summary says: it gets the job done but there are lots of connection issues. I feel like every other time I'm using it there's problems with it, but it still works!
