I ended up returning this because it doesn't allow streaming of Amazon video. It works as advertised but seems to be a bit out of date with the apps it allows you to stream.

There is nothing that this device does to stand out. Too many options on the market. Got this for njpw wrestling but it can be a nightmare to get to stream at times.

We bought the Chromecast to "Mirror" our PC onto the TV. It's clunky and slow, a lot of lag. We'll look into just using HDMI

The reason why I gave only 3 star is because chromecast after buying just seem irrelevant. I can do everything cast does without it with my phone. Spend your money elsewhere.

I bought this as a Christmas present. I have never used the Chrome cast. But I have heard good things. I personally prefer the Roku. But this is what I was asked to get.

I can not have my cable box on because it makes chromecast really unstable and flickers insanely. Due to this glitch...it would not set up nor install easily. I had to call customer service and in pluggging and unplugging cables is how i found glitch. And i do have a Samsung tv and it is an older version...but thats the whole reason i had to purchase chromecast. Mirroring is so far best way to see my movies or pictures on my phone without interuptions so that's good. Overall for me is better than nothing.

We purchased the Chromecast because it is the only way to get YouTubeTV. Unfortunately, after getting set up and using it for a few hours it just stopped. Customer service went through all their protocols and finally scratched their head and said they didn't know what was wrong. Then I see an post from that says this product has a bug that causes it to mess up your wifi. Don't know when or how it will be fixed. In the meantime, find another product and use another service.

It wasn't what I expected. There are no apps on the device. One must download a supportive app onto their mobile device first and then AirPlay it onto the Google device.

Google Chromecast comes with lot of complications, like you need to be connected to the same wifi always, you just cant change the network so easily.

Googlechrome is normally a fanstastic product. But since i got this new one, there where a lot of problems of software and compatibility with ipad and samsung tablets

Had a little trouble setting up. It appears to be working. Using it for educational purposes to show videos on large flat screen instead of my 13 inch computer screen.

This is an OK gadget, if you use Apple products pay more and get apple TV, works much better, less figuring out how to mirror your screen, your movies, videos, etc.

I took this to India and it didn't work with iPhone or any other apple products. It did pair with my sister's android phone though so cannot say it doesn't work.

It started working very well. Nevertheless, after twenty days functioning, it was out of order. I won't recommend to anybody.

Waste of money, don't bother buying this product it's really useless. There are so many other products on the market that are better such as Apple TV for one, much better.

Think twice if you are planning on casting from your phone using mobile data. My aim was to use the free data on the DirecTV App to play shows on my TV via my phone. Problem is that chromecast setup automatically looks for a wireless router and won't recognize the (internet sharing) phone. I had to go on line for special gyrations to go through to connect to the phone and avoid my router (which has a limited data plan). Even after I made a successful connection, it didn't "stick."

Ok, but you have to use a phone along with the chromecast, which I find as a hassle and a burden on the phone battery. Much prefer the Amazon fire stick.

Great device if you have reliable wifi, with out it skips and isnt compatible with some apps, would uave to restart often

Device does casting, however, it requires an internet connection (Wi-Fi is its preference) which makes it difficult to use under certain circumstances

You need to be familiar with Chrome and Androids, I thought it was easier... it's another "thing" in my backpack, but not easy to use. I'm good with iPhone only...
