I am not very fascinated with the limited apps that comes with Google Chrome Cast. However, I enjoy it's voice enabled remote with google home.

Thought this would be better since it's a Google product. I have problems with the voices synching. Probably should have gone with a roku or apple TV.

It took calling customer service at Google to figure out how to Cast with an Iphone--they recommended some 3rd party apps and it works now

Bad, very bad. Excellent image and audio quality. Terrible control system through additional devices, (cellular, tables etc.) The worst I saw

It does what I needed it for. Needed something to stream HBO Now and it was cheap option for now until the app is more available on different platforms.

Not a big fan. I am not part of the google ecosystem, so there is a bit of a learning curve. The Fire tv stick seems to fit my needs much better.

I'm not invested in the Google landscape enough to use this. I returned it and my Google Home. Apple TV is so life-changing that nothing compares.

Even though I was only 8 feet away from the Chromecast, I had a lot of difficulties maintaining a connection. I even have Google Fiber as a service provider. I ended up returning it, although I may try getting another one at some point. I tried all the standard troubleshooting methods to get it to work and keep the connection but it didn't work for me. I know many others have had a great experience which is why I will consider trying another unit at some point.

Its a good product just don like that i had problems when i have to mirror my phone it would not let me i would have to restart it..

I owne Roku and it's better than Chrome. It's not interecrive and u need to navigate through multiple applications on your phone. Not user friendly.

I'm not sure if it's the Chromecast device or YouTube TV app but the performance is inconsistent. Other streaming wasn't as problematic.

Product is good but it knocks out your Internet. You cannot stream movies to your television while someone is on the Internet. It is one or the other

Well I have ever nice things rolling say about the chrome cast but two moths ago I had a large purchase but I still have not received my best buy rewards

Asked for a tool to enable me to watch movies from my tablet while at a hotel. Device does not accomplish this without additional equipment.

Works as described. However, there is no switch to turn on right off. There can be issues when you accidentally send contents to stream on your tv.

No sound after 5 minutes into a movie, then it gives you and error; and takes you to a different screen.

Not very useful. Not user friendly, you can only link one page. I was surprised by google had lunched such products with such low quality software.

The device is convenient only for the one person in our home who regularly uses it. For the others it's a total pain when she plugs it in and forgets to detach it. Why not have a convenient toggle switch on the device so that one could go back and forth from the cable service to the device? Would have gladly paid a little more for that .

When I attempted to upload videos/movies already playing on my phone it sometimes takes a little longer than expected to load. Other than that, it is ok

Returned after finding that the Chromecast did not pass 5.1 audio watching Netflix to my Vizio sound bar. Maybe it was my fault, but I had it connected to my HDMI switch and into the HDMI input on the sound bar, like my other devices, which all support 5.1 without issue. I was actually very excited about the Chromecast; no more dealing with slow, outdated UIs. If you have a simple setup, no issue. But at the price, a new Roku stick seems like a better option.
