We tried to use this Chromecast with our Dish Anywhere app and it wouldn't work. After some investigating on the internet we figured this out.

My boyfriend wanted it so I bought it for him. It's a really neat idea, but when you already have every gadget on the planet, it's pointless.

This Chromecast was not exactly what I needed. I wanted something that was a bit more stand alone and I can use to stream apps directly on a device not from my cell phone or tablet so I ended up returning this and getting a firestick since I already had Amazon Prime. The product itself work well besides the fact I cannot install any apps on it and could only screen share whatever apps had the function enabled on my smartphone or tablet.

I purchased this product to get rid of cable TV; however, I was not thrilled with my smart phone as the remote apparatus.

Bought this for my parents and they could not understand the concept of using a smartphone or tablet as a remote for this device.

I thought this would be a simple "plug-in" to tv. However, there are a lot more steps (and time) involved than described on the packaging.

Too many connectivity issues, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It just isn't worth buying.

After the release of the Chromecast Audio device, I was very disappointed to find out that you can't watch video through the Chromecast Video device and have the audio from that video play through the Chromecast Audio device. I would have thought this would be a no-brainer of an option to include. A very huge oversight on their part. Hopefully it gets corrected with a firmware update ASAP. Then I will change my rating to 5 stars.

The number of potential input sources is quite limited compared to other streaming devices. It's OK for what it is and what it cost.

I feel like when the chrome cast actually casts its wonderful. Otherwise its very frustrating.

was a bit upset after I learned I needed internet for my home I tried using my Mobile hotspot but it would not work...

Basically just mirroring what is on your phone. Not intuitive or user friendly. Returned and went back to the basics -Roku.

It does what its suppose to do....but thebottom of the screen is dark....my smart tv is brand new so i don't think thats the problem

can stream video with android devices, but with iOS, need to install Chrome and cannot mirror like the apple TV!

Easy to hook up I pad for U tube but no help on computer or using iPad for videos from web sites

It still locks up and buffers just like first gen. I am close to the router. I think Google just phones in software support.

Seems like a good idea, and a good interface through an app on your phone, but a Samsung s3 is not compatible with this model.....

Not great. Apparently the TV itself can be a cause of interference to the device. Design could have taken that into consideration.

I didn't care for this product so i returned it and got something else. I think this worked through Google only.

Bought chromecast but I had an older tv and it didn't work. Returned it and customer service was great. No problem.
