Need to call Google Chromecast to correct the issue.

Will not work without WiFi evenot after initial setup.

I recommended this to everyone with a cell phones.

After purchasing the Chromecast, I quickly realized that it didn't work the way it was suggested to work with the Google Home. For many of the Chromecast functions to work, your TV needs to connect to other programs, many of which cost money.

I purchased this item so I could cast from my Moto 5GS cell phone. Never got to try it out since the installation process failed multiple times after first attempting to update the firmware. Directions leave much to be desired also.

When I cast a video to my TV from my smartphone, there seems to be a periodic buffering issue. Sometime the video just prematurely ends in the middle etc..or elsewhere periodically. Not sure if the problem is wi fi, phone or the chromecast.

worked great at first but then it stopped connecting, had to literally restart it everyday so it would work. I just gave up on it and got an Apple TV, best decision Ive ever made

I was in a hotel, but the product was never delivered to me and I had to come back yo my country without it. However, I know the product is very good as my son has already had one and works perfectly.

if you want a screensaver or just something that will work only with google chrome browser to cast web tabs pages (or youtube videos) to a dumb tv. then this is your device. It may only play nice wioth google specific devices. My slingbox ipad app sees the choice of the chromecast, but when selected it fails; briefly flashing an "unable to stream" message. Google seems to be aware of the problem, but merely says "we're working on it" . Although one could read from the multiple discounts this summer that this product is going away. firetv is a clear winner in that it has a youtube app, and a slingbox app, along with many others and its own browser.

It gave me nothing that my TV did not already have.

You can't view movies from your phone to your t.v.

Found device style awkward and did not work for me

This is not a dedicated device like a Roku or Apple TV. You need a mobile device (iOS/Android) to make it work. If your looking for something that doesn't require a mobile device get a Roku or Apple TV. This thing is kind of pointless in my opinion.

Wasn't what I wanted. I just wanted something to patch me directly from my phone to TV., without using WiFi. Like a MHL to MHL cord. These electronic stores keep pushing WiFi components when it should not be needed.

Did not work out of the package. Unfortunately, I did not try to set up right away so too late to take back to Best Buy. It was just after the 15 days. So I called Google Chromecast. After they put me through all the testing as well and decided I had a bad product. Their system for returns SUCKS. If I don't want to open a Google acct., then they wait until they receive my product back. Once they log into their system, they will send me a new one. SO I TRUST THEM. THEY DON'T TRUST ME. Sorry I ever bought the product.

Could not get it to link to my Ipad, phone , etc. to stream anything to the TV. My daughter also purchased one and had the same issue.
