This device keeps turning on my toshiba tv by itself. And it stopped casting personal videos from my phone. So it does have issues with toshiba brand. I hope they find a solution soon.

It immediately got very hot. Some Googling revealed that this sometimes happens when it is underpowered by the TVs USB port, but I had it plugged in using the AC adaptor. I returned it.

I’ve gone through 3 of them and will look for another solution when this one breaks. It works great for like 6 months then breaks out of nowhere. I need something more reliable.

but for the sole purpose of streaming video from my phone to the my TV had issues streaming from other sources other than that built in apps seems okay didn't work too much for what I need it for

The best buy agent recommended this item to me, but upon hooking it up I found that it will not work with amazon products as it is a Google product. I took it back and bought a firestick.

I thought this would be a better option than plugging my laptop into my tv with a hdmi cord but I was wrong. The capture is visually horrible.

When the Chromecast is plugged in the internet for the rest of the network slows to a crawl. Unplug it and the rest of the network speeds back up. Would not recommend this product.

I bought this to watch movies on an older tv. I didn't like how it didn't have memory to store apps like Netflix or Hulu. I had to have them on my phone to watch with the chromecast

Told I could sync my phone to tv but can only receive google related garbage. returning.

I wanted to use the Chromecast so my father could watch educational videos that he streams to his PC. Watching them on the PC is a pain cuz he's at a table in a hard chair. So I thought the Chromecast would allow him to get the video streaming on his iPad using CHROME as the browser, and then just cast it to his TV. NO CAN DO. Amazing, I couldn't believe Google didn't figure out whatever it takes to integrate with their OWN browser, Chrome, and stream from an iPad. Can't do it.

It disconnected many times! From my smart TV, I have other one and it gets disconnected too! Very poor quality item!

I have to continually reset the chromecast to get my devices to connect. I hate it.

Dissappointed that to use more than one of these is next to impossible. Have to create more than one user and there is no way to play them simultaneously!

The lack of a remote makes this device clunky and it doesn't stream well with my cable and other devices. Perhaps it would be better with just an antenna.

I purchased two of these to replace a Roku. It was harder to use and not as versatile. I returned one because it was not efficient as the Roku. A little disappointed.

It says it will mirror my phone or iPad to a tv. Well it will only if it is connected to a different internet network. I wanted to use it in my rv. No go . Waste of $35

You need a good internet connection for chromecast to work without interruptions. My house's design has a lot of dead zones. I could not make it work consistently

Allows streaming of a number of channels. Excellent addition to you TV watching.

This product sucks! Have to buy other things to work and then you do and they want you to buy more! Worst thing ever! I wish I never received it for Christmas!
