I purchased Chromecast based upon a friend's recommendation. Before, I used an HDMI cord to play videos/movies/music through my TV. Chromecast makes everything SO much easier! It's cordless and less messy that way. Also, you can cast from your phone/computer and still use it for other purposes! Money well spent!

The best way to get whats on the browser to the tv. easy to set up with home wifi

It works, over and over again usually 3 to 4 times a show... Reboots itself all the time at random turns off at random and usually takes like 20 minutes of fussing to even start watching anything. But it dose work just has a mind of its own and a real pain, I got tired of being burned by Roku, I have a fire stick in the bedroom works great all the time, i thought I'd like to try the chrome cast as I thought the idea of running it off my tablet or phone was a great idea.. Not to mention thier cast app really sucks.. So you will need to download all the apps you'd like to watch for each channel / network.all wanting to update all time and of course send back reports of your activity so they know what advertising to throw at ya. Tying up my tablet even more.. Arrrrggggg.

I have the original Chromecast already, and bought this new one for my living room TV. I LOVE it! Has many more options than the first, and seems to be much faster loading. Chromecast has been a HUGE game changer in my house. HIGHLY RECOMMEND at this price point. You cannot beat it!

I bought the google chromecast so I can stream my videos from my samsung galaxy tab a to my tv. It works beautifully. I love having the ability to watch my videos on my tv instead of the small screen of the tablet.

I have bought numerous Chromecasts for myself and to gift to family and friends over time. This is one solid piece of technology. I lately use Nexus Player for all my streaming needs. If there is a need, I will happily go back to Chromecast.

Chromecast works wonders. Only issue that one should know is that it does not "cast" the phone or in my case the iPad just in use it can cast some apps like Netflix etc but chrome does not just cast itself like the browser to the tv which is what I thought the function would be. Like a HDMI wireless caster type deal. Otherwise works well.
