I own the previous generation of this product, and it's not much different, but the speed. It loads apps a lot quicker. The price is great as well! If I didn't have one for every tv I own I would have purchased more. Great buy!

The easiest fastest and good looking device I've had for carrying video and images from any device to my screen. Can move from one tv to another in seconds without a haze.

Better than fire stick, better than Roku stick. Can stream easily anywhere WiFi HDMI is available. I take this unit when I travel to hotels so I can watch my own Netflix and Hulu (as long as there is internet).

I am very pleased with the performance of this product. I use it everyday to cast Hulu, Netflix, and YouTube to my T.V. The hook up was easy and I am able to broadcast from my phone,iPad,and laptop. Great product. Use it daily.

I've used the Apple TV and the Roku and other devices. This one rocks the bottom out. It almost compatible with everything and it just streams anything I watch well. Netflix, HULU, Youtube you name it works. Except for Itunes.

Ease of use and excellent add-on to Smart TV also where you do not have to struggle with remote while searching on you tube or connecting HDMI cables when playing movies on laptop. Definitely good purchase.

I just bought two of these to have in the bed rooms to make it easy for the wife to stream video from her tablet.The Google Chromecast is relatively cheap, and will surely satisfy most, if not all of your needs and expectations, especially at the low price of $19.00

The only reason I upgraded from the previous Chromecast was because this one is able to support 5 Ghz WiFi. To me, this newer Chromcast is a lot faster than the older one. Maybe because it's a newer model, or maybe because it's using the 5 Ghz WiFi. I use this primarily to stream Tidal HiFi music to my speaker set up using the Bubble UPNP Android app. Tidal HiFi streams 1411 kbps FLAC files that sound amazing. Chromecast now natively supports FLAC so no transcoding is necessary. I didn't get the audio only Chromcast because I like to display the artist info on my TV while the song is playing. Bubble UPNP does this. I think this was a worthwhile purchase considering I can now use the 5 Ghz WiFi and be able to listen to FLAC music. I would definitely recommend this product.

I purchased this knowing the first model did not meet my expectations. Installation was a breeze and the speed is so much better than 1st generation. Also now compatible with Wireless AC. I can now stream my Macbook, ipad, iphone, android nexus tablet, and LG G3 phone. not bad for $35.

I do like the new Google Chromecast and I'm really glad I held out and didn't buy the first version. I like how it's always on and I can pretty much "cast" any google based system onto my it. The reason I bought it was to replace my PS3, which sounded like a lawnmower after running for a few minutes, and only used to watch Netflix. I do like that I can just cast specific services fairly easily like youtube, google music and Netflix as well as just my screen. I haven't run into many issues with the device other than when I sometimes close an app and it still keeps running through the cast system. However, that is easily fixed by connecting to the Chromecast and stopping the streaming. I would recommend this item only if you're aware of its limitations and capabilities.

Set up was a breeze, don't app to device and hit play and connect and watch. Literally that easy, excellent picture quality and you can mirror your phone screen to your tv. Great device to have if you watch videos online.

Out of the box, quick, easy setup and in use to start streaming right away. Simple to use. Great compliment to Google Home devices and application. For the price, couldn't ask for a better combination.

this device definitely works as advertised and then some ! I have been using it to stream movies over all of my devices and it is amazing . The price was also on the money , definite bang for your buck .

Excellent item for anyone who is looking to get a streaming device for their television, computer, or other device. Super cheap, tons of apps, easy to setup, eliminates cables and extra devices. Would definitely recommend

The bad is that you have to plug the device in to a usb port on your tv or an outlet. The good: it makes watching any online content easily controlled by your phone, tablet, or PC. I enjoy streaming Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube on by T.V. and controlling it with the app on my phone.

Significant improvement from the last model. Faster speeds, less buffering, more settings and apps. If you have another streaming device this is the best bang for your buck. Works on all types of IOS and Android devices!

This item is easy to set up and access from my Galaxy Note 5. I love being able to cast my movies to my tv, and I can also cast from my home computer. Anything you want to see on your tv, the Chromecast makes it happen.

It's small, simple and executes it's purpose flawlessly. As long as you understand what this device is actually for you will not be disappointed in it's performance.

I bought this one to replace the old chromecast that turned out to be hiding under my bed. It works perfectly fine and is way more convenient than its counterpart. I recommend it to anyone looking to cut the cable cord.

The chromecast is pretty easy to use and setup, the only issue is that some of the tv channel apps do not have a cast option, so you'll need to download some 3rd party apps, like Allcast for droid, or TvCast for ipad.
