It automatically switches the input on the television to the appropriate source without me having to manually change the source. it allows me to mirror my Samsung android to the television, thus allowing me to watch movies from my phone.

I was looking for a simpler wireless solution to present content on the portable projector. I can now cast my Fitness Blender workout videos from the iPhone to the projector and no longer need to setup a computer with an HDMI cable or purchase a more expensive Apple TV. I can also watch movies via Netflix, HBO, etc. on the projector and only need the iPhone to get the streaming started and then I can turn off my phone or leave the room, as opposed to Apple TV mirroring where the iPhone would be used for the duration of the movie.

Great way to stream. Economical way to add streaming to TVs that aren't "smart" without adding another remote control to the collection.

I absolutely love the chrome stick. I have a Roku TV in our bedroom and a older 70' Plasma TV in our living room. I missed not being able to stream to our Plasma and having to use cables and adapters to connect laptop, iPad, iPhone, ...but the TV still works perfect so no need to buy a new one yet. So after some research I decided to get the Chromecast. Now with one click i mirror any screen i want. It should get a 3/4 of a star more but that was sadly not possible. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it has one little negative point for me. The product is designed as a product on the go. I understand that it if it is an new network you have to connect the stick to the new network. But you have to re input your network every time if you go to an other network. It would be nice if it had some sort of memory to store previous networks that you have connected with before. Like a cellphone has with the WiFi points it has bin connected with. It may not be possible inside the stick but maybe in the Chromecast App. Lets hope for one of the software updates. But next to that, perfect product. Comes with USB cable and power adapter. I love it. For 35$ its a no brainer!!!

I originally bought the Chromecast to watch Filmstruck (RIP) on my tv. It worked like gangbusters! But since this is an imperfect universe overseen by a mad, jealous demiurge hellbent on blocking out the light of the One True God, we can’t have nice things and that amazing app is no more. The Chromecast, however, is still here and works great. It’s compatible with most streaming apps, with the one glaring omission being Amazon Prime. That kinda sucks, but c’est le vie.

I been using this when it first came out, and I love it, but I think the first one works better, just a little bit better picture, why I'm not giving this a 5 star rating is because it seems like at times I have to plug it in 2 or 3 times because the HD devices seems to not recognize that its plug in.

Easy to use, connect and figure out. Great for Netflix or streaming but we haven't been able to figure out the work around for Amazon Video.

This is my first chromecast and it is amazing. I will be purchasing two more for other rooms on the house. Very easy to set up and use.

I've had a few friends with these and they've tried to talk me into getting one. Well after getting my Google Home I saw these on sale over the Holidays so I pulled the trigger. So glad I did! Very handy with the Google Home, if I want to watch a new movie trailer I just ask it to and tell it where to show it, "Ok Google, show me the new Rogue One trailer on the living room Chromecast" and boom...there it is! Also nice for showing pics off your phone or even showing friends a new game. I love mine and fully recommend.

I have a mac book pro and love this product. I simply plug it into my smart tv and am able to sync it to my laptop. Very nice feature.

I purchased this to use Youtube TV and it works great. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a remote you must control the device with a mobile phone and the user interface is not as good as Apple TV or Firestick.

Used to have the original chromecast, was satisfied with the performance but after reading of some of the advantages of the new version (mainly support for 5GHZ network), I wanted to try it out and see if there was any boost in performance (I use it a lot of times to stream chrome tabs into my tv) and gotta say it does make some difference when using this new version. Can't say that's a huge difference but as far as I can tell I do see an improvement, so guess I got my money's worth. Love the convenience and the price

This is a great device, I upgraded from the first version due to the poor signal but with this new version I can configure it to my AC wireless network and pickup a stronger signal.

I own both an Apple TV and a Google Chromecast, and the Chromecast is an affordable streaming and device mirroring option. The only setback is that it doesn't interact well with my Apple products (which was expected), but plays very well with PC/Android tech. Overall, good deal.

This does not tie up your phone when casting, so you can use it for anything you need while the media is casting. I use it quite a bit for Google play music and Amazon Music, which is now 'castable' Excellent device!

I can not live with out a chrome cast! We have one hooked up to every TV at home. The only reason it is my 4th one is because my 3 yr old is very mischievous! I stream netflix, pandora, youtube all day long! love love love chrome casts!!

any easy way to set up a casing device from your computer to your TV. works well to display for example youtube on a large TV

I really have no complaints about the Chromecast. I use an iPhone and I can use it's functionality to it's fullest. I believe if you have an Android deviceI believe it might be able to do screen sharing from that as well. Great device!

Really like then new design the took on this chromecast. Really makes it stand out from the rest of the media streaming devices on the market

Definitely an improvement over the previous version of chromecast. I no longer have issues with losing my connection partway through watching something. Sometimes I have issues getting the stupid thing to connect from my PC or stopping youtube videos from playing, but these issues are rare. I'm very happy I upgraded to this version and look forward to future upgrades. For those thinking of buying a chromecast, just do it. This thing has completely changed how I watch videos that would usually be watched on my pc or phone.
