Google Chromecast after 6 months

I wasn't really tempted to try the chromecast but I finally decided to buy it. So here is my opinion after 6 months using it: PROS: - Support most common apps: Netflix, Spotify, etc - Chrome browser tab and desktop sharing - Support for HDMI-CEC (TV remote) CONS: - NO Remote control, NO Smart Apps - Limited app support - Limited HDMI-CEC functionality - Limited audio support. You only got 2.0 on 5.1 movies - Browser or Tab sharing only works on desktop PC, not cellphone Finally I'm selling it. Regards, cf

Not Impressive but Good

It's much smaller than it looks in all of the images and advertising. It's a small circle with an HDMI cable (male) coming out of one end and a Micro USB power receptacle (female) on the other end. It's funny looking, but it works very well. There is also an EZ factory reset button on the side of the circle. And of course, a Micro USB power adapter is included. It was very easy to setup, and I love the beautiful screen savers. Casting from my laptop with Chrome and my Android phone is very easy and seamless. You can use your Apple devices to cast to Chromecast as well. The video and audio quality in HD are great. I love it! IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you have a good fast WiFi router at the location where you plan to use the Chromecast. If you want to watch video in 720p and 1080p, you will need the capability to stream high amounts of data (from the router to the Chromecast). Most people's routers should be fine, but I'm just letting you know!
