1) I am a Google Apps user. I do all my email, documents, surfing - everything on Google. 2) I have a TV that is NOT connectable to the Internet. 3) I have high-speed internet WiFi at home. So - Chromecast is a perfect solution at a great price for me. It works perfectly. If any of the above is not true for you, then maybe you need to do more research.

I added this to my bedroom television since I did not want to have to pay for another Apple TV unit for that room. It does a great job for watching streaming videos with most major apps, but it sadly does not work with Amazon Prime using iOS devices. Once I bought a Chromebook, however, I was able to log onto Amazon Prime through the Chrome browser and cast the screen through the Chromecast that way. But there is no support for my iPhone or iPad for Amazon Prime using the Chromecast. It also seems to have support in many websites for streaming videos to the television. Set up and connectivity have never been an issue. It won’t do it all, but for the cost, it is a worth having if it serves your needs.

I was having issues with the 1st generation chromecast with the connectivity. But i haven't had a problem with this one. Easy to use and the size is great. It doesn't get in the way of my other products.

Took this streaming device on vacation with me and could not be happier. Set up was easy and the uses for this are endless. Great for Pandora, Watch ESPN and countless other apps, not to mention screen sharing. I could also see great use for this in the business world. Plug right in to an HDTV or projector and run a presentation right from your phone.

I am very pleased with this product especially since I got it on sale. I have used it every day since I purchased it. I purchased it for the sole purpose of streaming movies. It has been very easy to use without the need to read a bunch of how to information first. I haven't tried other devices yet. However, I don't feel need to do so. I give it an A+.

I decided I needed a better way to watch Netflix and YouTube, the iPad screen just wasn't cutting it anymore. I should mention that my TV, while an large screen HD model, isn't a Smart TV so it doesn't have any of these apps installed. A friend suggested the Chromecast, so I looked into it. Wow, for a fairly inexpensive price, I had the perfect way to watch all these things on my TV. I picked one up and within 10 minutes of getting home I was watching Netflix cast from my iPad to my TV. The hardest thing about the install was finding an available 110v outlet to plug the power supply into! If you have an older TV that doesn't have the newer movie apps installed and you're tired of trying to watch movies on your phone or tablet, give one of these a try.

I've bought multiple of these units. Love the ability to use my phone as the remote...instead of having to find yet another remote. Have a TV that uses CEC makes it super simple to switch to the Chromecast streaming. Also the love the fact that many TV's have Chromecast functionality built in (including a couple of TV's I own!).

I have bought 4 of these. My mom uses one to listen to music and to stream netflix to the TV. My girlfriend uses hers everyday to stream from her tablet to her tv. She is getting a second one to bring to the gym with her so she can always have something to watch. I have used mine to stream full desktops and it works pretty well considering what I am doing. Works best to stream one app or window but can be used to stream entire desktops.

Purchased because I wanted to do some more advanced functions that required a second Chromecast, and wanted to take advantage of the 5 GHz band. Requires a smartphone/tablet to set up, but after that can also be controlled with computer. Some apps/sites can be a little weird with their implementation, but device works as expected and is very convenient.

I had the orignial Chromecast and used it daily on a TV that isn't hooked up to cable, so upgrading was a no brainer! I have had less connection probelms with this one, and I am very satisfied with it. In the future, it would be great if it was compatible with Amazon Prime Video.

This is a great, little device for streaming video to your TV. I got it to stream HBOGO and You tube. Most phone and tablet apps let you cast to this, little device that plugs into an HDMI port on your TV. Simple and a great price. I'm thinking about getting a few more for other TVs.

Because of this wonderful little device, I no longer have any use for cable! I can stream whatever I want to watch directly from my phone or tablet! Can't believe I waited so long to purchase!

I bought this for my father-in-law. I suspect he will mainly use this to stream YouTube videos from his phone onto his TV. I own one and I find it very useful, especially if you are using a non smart TV or a TV without a gaming console hooked up. This is an exceptional alternative to Apple TV and Roku, and usually cost less.
