I was staying with my cousin's family in NM and thought it would make a good gift, which it did. I think they're pretty happy with it, too.

Would buy again,in fact I did. Now own two of them. :)

My techy son uses it all the time to cast his video creations for the whole family and friends. I even bought a second one for another TV. Great product, simple install and setup.

Easy for media streaming

Additionally I know who is streaming in each screen since the software has notification direct to my smartphone. Excellent purchase.

My RCA Pad and LG Tracfone and an older Intel Pentium Windows 10 OS laptop are not compatible. Trying to Cast from these devises displays a note: "This device is not optimized for casting using Google Chromecast".. My newer Windows laptop easily casts from Google's Chrome Browser.

Good buy for the money.

It would freeze frame about every 20 seconds or so. It could be my equipment is a bit dated or this model just can't handle 4k video. Stills and 2.7k worked perfectly

Great substitude for DVD player

Many of them just stopped streaming YouTube after sometimes or software update. This Chromecast device is so much efficient to stream comparing to DVD player

Turn your TV into a Smart TV

It is small to be out of sight, and pretty enough to have it near your setup.

It's so convenient to chromecast Netflix, youtube, and even music to my TV. So easy, my parents can use it too.

SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE FIRST

My internet speed is the same but there is less to none buffering when I started using the new Chromecast. Highly recommended.

Before google chrome I was limited to my mobile device which did not provide the depth that I experienced with google chrome. I have bought at least three. One for my personal use and two for family members
