This google chromecast is the perfect way to stream movies and shows on your TV without buying a smart TV. It's easy to program and easy to use. Wish I would have known about this earlier!

We love to cast Youube, HBO Now, and Directv app through the Chromecast because it's easier to navigate as opposed to using the apps on any TV. The Chromecast makes it easy to do.

I use it to stream movies off my phone to a portable projector and it works great, I power it with a portable power bank and use my phones wifi hotspot to stream movies will camping. Works awesome.

The Google Chromecast works great to stream to a tv. We have a mountain cabin that has no TV so we use these to watch our slingbox. Works great. I just wish there were more apps compatible with it.

Google's chromecast dongle works as advertized. I believe that Google should add Vlc as well as Amazon video support. Amazon's decision not to sell this has probably cannibalized sales. $35 is probably overpriced, should be priced at $25 to promote sales!

For it's price, it works pretty well. You can stream anything from your computer, cellphone or tablet to your TV via Chrome browser. You can also use your google home to voice control your TV.

We love the chrome cast. My son can watch all his shows in his room now.

in the past I had the google Chromecast, It was decent, now I got the new version (Not the 4k edition) and works flawlessly. Easy to connect and setup. Definitely I will buy again another one.

This generation of Chromecast far exceeds the prior builds. Only flaw is it tends drop the connection randomly - say once a month - and will need to be reconnected.

Really like my chromecast, lets me turn a regular tv into a smart tv. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because you have to use a smartphone or tablet for it to work, you need to cast from your phone to your tv. But other than that it is great.

I bought mine as a gift to my dad. Ever since I gave him an extra tv for his house, he is always in the back bed room watching over air TV. So I figured he could watch all his shows he watches on dish plus Netflix in the room. So far he seems satisfied.

it's fairly easy to set up if you have some basic tech knowledge. it's not as easy to use as other set top devices, because it's completely dependent on individual apps on a separate device.

I am an average, maybe slightly above average, smart-phone user. This is a nice way to share a phone's content using a TV with an extra HDMI connection. Installation and set-up was relatively easy.

I love the ability to "cast" to my TV. My only gripe is that the connection can drop, delay or skip. It can be frustrating when you are really into a movie and the picture starts to freeze and audio doesn't sync. Still a pretty cool device for the most part.

I got this originally because I travel to hotels and wished to put what I watched to the Tv. I use it almost every day now at home when I travel where ever I go. I highly recommend it to anyone.

I got this so I could say bye, bye to Comcast. It works great and you can pair with your cell phone and use your cell phones internet hot spot. A great option of you have an unlimited data plan.

For quickly launching Netflix or YouTube, etc. this is all you need. Quick and easy to set up. More expensive versions aren't necessary. This is my 3rd purchase of this item for multiple tvs.

I bought Chromecast because I don't have cable in my basement. I do have Netflix on my phone. Chromecast allows me to stream most media from my phone to my TV. It works great. Worth every cent.

I bought this item to use with various electronics to stream movies or videos to a monitor in my home gym. Since my wife has an android phone, I opted for the Chromecast instead of Apple TV despite all of the other units I might use being apple products. When the stars align, it functions as it should. Even though I can get full bars of wifi on any unit when using the Chromecast, getting the Chromecast to sync up and stream has been extremely spotty. Often times I find myself really fed up with it when all I want to do is get in a workout with some videos or movies to entertain me along the way. This has seriously eaten into my motivation to workout which is hard enough to come by in the first place. I would say it has worked as it should about 30-40% of the time. My wife has yet to get her android set up with the Chromecast so it remains to be seen if it will work better with the droid.
