I bought my Chromecast as a way to stream HBO Go to my tv for Game of Thrones. I don't use it much now that HBO Go is on Xbox One, but the Chromecast has become a staple in my travel bag.

If you don't have a TV with App or internet capabilities, you definitely need one of these. These will allow you to stream almost anything from your phone to the TV.

This is the second one I bought. Very convenient when cast YouTube and other compatible apps to a bigger screen so the whole family can watch. Fast and easy to set up.

So much nicer to stream internet to TV rather than phone or tablet. Just press a button that changes the TV mode and it picks up whichever device I am using to stream. Could not be easier.

I use my chrome cast to simulate a smarty TV. streaming shows and movies, for that it works perfect. Compatible with android. Works flawlessly and for the price its almost impossible to beat.

I bought this product for my daughter because we didn’t have cable for her. She absolutely loves to be able to download from her phone and at least watch something on her tv

I bought this augment our effort to "cut the cord" and get rid of DTV. I do like the casting feature of being able to send most things from my phone to the TV. There does seems to be some laggy behavior on the higher def signals though.

The google chromecast works well. However, I wish it worked on kindle devices.

Our only complaint was the set up process. The instructions were very unclear.

I needed a way to access Netflix and other streaming services, and also wanted to be able to show photos and videos from my iphone on the tv. The set up was quite simple and it works as advertised for accessing the main streaming services. Viewing photos and videos from the iphone was another story, though, since it does not work with icloud and apple's photos app. I didn't want to move all my photos (nearly 30,000) to Google photos, but found reviews of an app called photocast that connected the iphone photo app to the chromecast. This is a bit quirky but works well enough to do most of what I wanted. If you mainly use google services for all your video and photo needs, then chromecast is a simple and cheap solution. If not, then maybe look at other devices.

Came in handy when I decided to cut my cable services. Plays everything from videos to movies on my iPhone, iPad, and computer. Very simple to use! Had it for a few months now and no issues.

Does what it is supposed to do. Could have more options for streaming online.

This chromecast supports AC3 and AAC audio for surround sound, 5Ghz wifi signal and is 802.11ac certified. I love the speed, clarity, and flexibility I can achieve with the new Chromecast

Bought one of these for at home to play with, after I played with one at work.

I owned the first gen chromecast and this one is better. I has 5 ghz wireless availability and it is fast. You just need a smartphone or tablet to control the content. But it works great.

I love this product. It is compact so I take it on vacation with me. Keeps the kids entertained while we arent out doing things. I highly recommend this product!

Dont care what others say, ONCE you commit to the "no remote" chromecast life its amazing. Especially if you use a google home for complete voice control of your TV

Best to way to cut the core, no more paying not of money for cable

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect with the Chromecast, I have had several Roku's over the years and loved the way they turn my TV into a smart TV. With the chromecast however, it works great for streaming things from your phone or laptop to the TV but that's about it. It doesn't hold any apps on it so everything you want to watch you have to download the app onto your phone or other device. If you start playing a movie from your phone for you kids for example and then leave the house, the chromecast will stop running the movie as soon as your phone gets out of range of your network. My recommendation is to go with the Roku 2 or 3, it even comes with a handy remote.
