So far loving it!

It's okay but can't compete with a Roku
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't exactly sure what to expect with the Chromecast, I have had several Roku's over the years and loved the way they turn my TV into a smart TV. With the chromecast however, it works great for streaming things from your phone or laptop to the TV but that's about it. It doesn't hold any apps on it so everything you want to watch you have to download the app onto your phone or other device. If you start playing a movie from your phone for you kids for example and then leave the house, the chromecast will stop running the movie as soon as your phone gets out of range of your network. My recommendation is to go with the Roku 2 or 3, it even comes with a handy remote.

Easy to set up and manage

Who needs Cable!

Although channels are limited compared to a true smart TV, Chrome connects me to Netflix, Hulu, HBO and Showtime. I still pay less than cable and watch what I want!

Does everything I was expecting

I have had no issues connecting my android phone or my ipad tablet. I had the old first generation but it broke due to being jammed while moving, this new style seems like it would prevent that.

A massive improvement

Great Technology for non-tech people
