I had been waiting to buy a chromecast and ended up finding this deal for 2 of them while there was also a Google Play credit deal for each new chromecast. They work just as expected & we love the convenience of having them on the tvs. The streaming works great, whether from another device or an app on the tv.

Chromecast is a great streaming device. works great. Can beam directly from your phone to your TV. Honestly, it does everything that all of the competing devices do. The part that put this over the top for me was the fact that you can use your google home to trigger the chromecast to play a show or movie from one of several services offered on the chromecast.

Chromecast works well. Easy to setup - just plug it in and download the app on your phone. Casting is compatible with many apps and never lags. No audio or video delay issues. Would buy again

I got it mainly to cast PBS videos from the app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 to my 4k TV. It works great: terrific pictures and sound on the TV. It also works for many Web sites running in Chrome. However, I found that there are many apps not enabled for casting and some Web sites from which casting is restricted. It's great, but not a cure-all for connection issues between device ant TV.

We needed a simple way of turning our "dumb" tv into a "smart" tv, this thing is perfect. So easy to use, doesn't come with a controller but using your phone or a tablet/ipad makes its painless. Bring it up on your device and press the cast button and instantly displays on the tv, glad i chose this product.

Set up was easy took less then 10mins. Works flawless with apps designed for it

I love the android ecosystem. This is a great streaming device that is easy to setup. The Google play store has many great offers too every week. This streaming device connects easily to my laptop, tablet, and Android Phone. It also connects to my iPhone and iPad when needed but I rarely use them for that.

I was a little hesitant about getting this seeing the somewhat mixed reviews for it. The sole purpose of me getting this was to enable the "dumb" TV in my bedroom to stream Hulu/YouTube. I don't have cable so I stream mostly everything and having a regular old TV in my bedroom was pretty useless to me. After using it for a bit, I think this is perfect for my needs. All I needed this for was to stream Hulu and it does just that on my old TV. Setup was pretty easy but downloading updates took awhile for some reason. Small compact and portable too if that's your need. Only "weird" thing for me was the lack of a normal remote. I can use my iPhone or Android tablet but it just seems weird using that. I guess I'll get used to it after awhile. But for the price, I think this is pretty nice streaming device.

Chromecasts are an easy to use and widely supported by a raft of apps and services. I bought this for one of the one of its little-known functions - the ability to turn on/off the TV via a Google Home. Definitely worth setting up if you use Google Assistant and your TV supports it.

Using the Google chromecast with the Google home mini provides a very convenient way of watching your youtube videos online. I have yet to explore all of the features and online sites the chromecast can access but so far it works flawlessly and it brings me closer to a smart home.

So purchased 2 of these as gifts since I already own 5 of them. I have one in each room with a TV and all setup on my wifi network and setup with each tablet and phone in the house. Kids can share the movie or video they are watching to the TV in the room they decide to be in. Amazing picture and sound!

Very good product with easy installation and activation but no remote control

As a Chromecast v1 owner, I knew that I had to get one for my son once he moved into his first apartment. He uses it constantly for Pandora, Netflix, and YouTube. Chromecast is easy to set up and provides the same functionality as many more expensive options on the market. One of the best buys out there!

Using Android or iOS tablets as remotes, the Chromecast dongle streams Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, Google Music, Google Movies & TV, and HBO Go to your TV. Its relatively small size hides neatly behind a TV. Easy to take with you when traveling. The only negative is a lack of a dedicated remote requiring you to always need a smartphone or tablet nearby.

If you want to watch something on your tv instead of your phone or computer, this is the easiest way to do so. No more plugging and unplugging cables that may or may not be compatible with your devices. Just connect to Wi-Fi and click the cast button from your computer or phone.

I would have given a 5 star review if it worked in every way that Google advertises it. Google apps work just fine but when it comes to Netflix over Google Chrome, watching episodes can be difficult, watching 3-5 episodes and then it jumps out to the home screen. Everything else is great, it's fast and easy to use, even easier and faster to setup :D You will not regret buying it.

I have one on every TV in my house. I use my tablet to look up what I want to watch off the internet and cast it to any TV in my house. I don't even need my tablet to be in the same room as the TV I want to cast. I can cast from my cell phone as well or even my laptop. I recommend chromecast to all.

Great for streaming. HD quality picture and sound. Recommended.

I use this primarily for mirroring my Samsung galaxy tablet, 2014 edition. It works pretty well. Sometimes the connection isn't strong. It's probably because the chromecast is in the USB port on the back of the TV, so there's no direct line of sight between my tablet and the chromecast device. I don't use any of the chromecast apps, so I can't comment on the quality of those.

The problem with smart TV's is they tend to lag far behind the feature set bar compared to tablets/phones/etc. Chromecast lets you use your newest devices on your TV! And unlike apple TV, it works well on apple, android, AND PC devices.
