Great for watching content on TV

An inexpensive streaming device option...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently cut the cord with DIRECTV and went to YouTube TV back in November… This was included after your first month free, needed several more for the other televisions so purchase this one as an extra... The only caveat is you must use this in conjunction with a phone app or tablet to cast your streaming media to the associated television that you place this on. For ease of use and a remote, Roku is the better choice, the streaming stick. This way you don't need to cast off of another device. It sufficed at the time, now that Roku is compatible it is my primary choice.

Google Chromecast - Good streaming player

It is even more handy if u have an android device as you can cast almost everything. I liked it

Nice device

Works better than a lot of builtin streamers inside tvs. I appreciate running this in parallel in case the tv unit goes wonky. Gives me another device as a backup and for troubleshooting, well worth it.

Worth it for the convenience just a few negatives compared to AppleTV but we thought we'd try it out.

Chromecast

Use this with Google Home

I love being able to control Netflix by just speaking. Works great and as long as you have good wifi, the buffering and stream is good.

Chromecast is getting better

I did have to turn off the firewall from my PC. Unlike apple tv it does not care about content source and access rights etc
