Only works on certain apps

For example, if I want to use my Ipad to watch a movie on a web page, I can't cast it to my TV. I have to use my computer to watch a movie on a browser in order to cast it to my TV.

Good for a beginner

Better than the first
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not a whole lot to say here other than the more flexible form factor is a big improvement over the first generation. The interface gets a little bit more of an updated look. As with most things Google, configuration and operation are a breeze - not sure how much easier they can possible make it. I still wish they would provide a secondary shorter Micro USB cable to power the device with. I used a spare extra Micro USB I had laying around to plug into my TV's 5V USB port. This powers the Chromecast and eliminates the need to run a dedicated AC cord down the wall.

Cheap and convenient!
