I'm a fan of the simplicity of using the Chromecast and the cost. I have both the original and this second generation. The wifi connection is better on the new one and that alone made it worthwhile.

Had the first-gen Chromecast and it was great, but the new one is much faster loading applications and provides better streaming.

It seems to disconnect a lot. I'm not sure why. Nice picture when it's properly working. Maybe 70% of the time. This was an upgrade from t he last model.

Device is pretty much exactly as promised - a compact "puck" that plugs into my (wired) stereo letting me send music from my phone. I've use a Bluetooth receiver for this before and it was fine up close but only had about 15 feet or range before cutting out. This device works through a Wi-Fi connection so I can stream from anywhere in the house, or even outside, as long as I'm within Wi-Fi range. The controls work better too, compared to the Bluetooth receiver. Loses a star for the relatively limited functionality compared to other streaming devices and for not being as universal as Bluetooth in terms of the apps you can cast.

Chromecast i never imagined that we can get this kind of product. Cast videos on big screen soo easy. I suggested to my friends and colleagues.

Works great and pretty easy to hook up. Different people will find something to watch to make them happy or just blue tooth you phone or pad to it
